Yep, ‘I’m The Problem’—the 37-song album that’s already breaking records—was inspired by drawings he spotted in his lawyer’s office after his infamous chair-throwing incident at Eric Church’s Nashville bar. Wallen, who was arrested last year for reckless endangerment, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges and served a week in a DUI education facility. But while dealing with his legal mess, he saw those “old school court drawings” and thought, That might be cool.
Turns out, no other artist had used a courtroom sketch for an album cover, so Wallen ran with it. He didn’t want to use his real court photos because they were “too real,” but the sketch idea stuck. The result? A cover that toes the line between raw and stylized, much like the man himself.
In a recent Apple Music interview, Wallen opened up about how the birth of his son changed his perspective—saying he’s learned to be cautious about who he lets into his life. His new outlook? “I’m gonna assume you’re sh*****, and if you prove me wrong, awesome.” Fair enough.
Whether you love him or hate him, Morgan Wallen is owning his story—and ‘I’m The Problem’ is proof..
