👶 Blushing Bassinet Cake Recipe

🍰 Cake Base: Strawberry Vanilla Sponge (for 3 tiers)
Ingredients (scaled for 6", 8", and 10" round tiers):
900g all-purpose flour
750g granulated sugar
2 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
340g unsalted butter (room temp)
8 large eggs
480ml whole milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
150g strawberry purée or jam

Instructions:

1.Preheat oven to 175°C. Grease and line round pans.

2.Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.

3.Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla and strawberry purée.

4.Mix dry ingredients separately, then alternate adding with milk.

5.Divide batter into pans and bake 30–50 minutes depending on size.

6.Cool completely before stacking.

🧁 Buttercream & Fondant Decorations
Ingredients:
900g unsalted butter
1800g powdered sugar
120ml heavy cream
*Gel food coloring (pink, white, green)
*Fondant for ruffles, bows, flowers, and baby sculpture
*Edible glue or water

Instructions:

1.Beat butter until creamy. Add powdered sugar and cream.

2.Apply smooth base coat in pale pink or white.

3.Sculpt fondant ruffles and layer them around each tier.

4.Create bows, garlands, and small flowers in pink and white.

5.Sculpt sleeping baby in bassinet with pillow and blanket details.

5 eggs

3–4 tbsp milk
