Hi guys! Welcome back to yet another !

This week I decided to go “behind the scenes” of some of the most popular movies!
Let’s get started.

1.) The cornfields in 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘳 were real; Director Christopher Nolan insisted on growing actual cornfields for the movie. 500 acres of corn were grown and even sold once filming was over!
2.) I brought up 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘖𝘻 last week, and unfortunately, I have learned some more horrific facts about it. Margaret Hamilton (Wicked Witch of the West) got terribly hurt after a fire stunt gone awry. Her face and hand got severely burned that it took six weeks for her to recover.
3.) The original 𝘛𝘰𝘱 𝘎𝘶𝘯 movie boosted recruitment for the Navy by 500% after its initial release.
4.) Zendaya and Zac Efron had to really learn how to do trapeze for 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘚𝘩𝘰𝘸𝘮𝘢𝘯. The director wanted to use stunt doubles as little as possible!
5.) Jennifer Lawrence confessed to having to watch 𝘒𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘜𝘱 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘒𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘢𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘴 in order to cope with shooting some of the darker scenes for the film 𝘔𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳!

Welcome back to another ! This week I was intrigued by Old Hollywood. I decided to do some research and here are five facts I thought I needed to share with you guys!

1.) One of the more messed up things, is that back in the day, they used to use asbestos as fake snow. The scene from the 𝘞𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘖𝘻 is the most well-recognized scene of it.
2.) In a normally male-dominated industry, a woman named Frances Marion was the highest paid screenwriter in the US from 1915 to 1934.
3.) The first Boom Microphone was made using a broomstick. It was created by director William Wellman on the set of 𝘉𝘦𝘨𝘨𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘓𝘪𝘧𝘦.
4.) The Hollywood sign used to say Hollywoodland. Hollywoodland was a luxury housing development. It got shortened to Hollywood in 1949.
5.) Adults would be cruel to kids to get them to cry on camera. Some measurements weren’t as extreme; sometimes all it took was a “this other child actor can cry on cue right away, but we can get 𝘺𝘰𝘶 fake tears” but Jackie Cooper went through hell. He was told that if he couldn’t cry on camera, they would kill his dog. Someone shot off a gun far away, which led him to sobbing, to the point where they almost couldn’t use that footage.

Welcome back to another !
Last week, I had a theme of action movies. This week, I decided to expand on that and make all the facts about Star Wars! As one of the biggest franchises, there's always something new to learn. So let's get into it!

1.) It took three hours to film the opening crawl as it was made using practical effects, as technology was very different back then.

2.) Luke Skywalker's lightsaber was supposed to be blue, but the color didn't show up too well, so it was changed to green!

3.) The reveal of Darth Vader being Luke Skywalker's dad was kept a secret from everyone except George Lucas and a couple of others.

4.) Harrison Ford got the role of Han Solo by accident. George Lucas wanted someone unknown, but gave it to Ford. Han Solo was also supposed to die as Ford thought after two movies, there was nothing else for his character. George Lucas refused, though.

5.) The series almost ended with Luke Skywalker becoming "the next Vader". However, Lucas then decided he wanted a happy ending. I know I'm glad that wasn't the ending they stuck with!

Happy ! For those who struggle with perfectionism, I think this quote sums it up perfectly. I also love the quote that states the first draft is just you telling yourself the story. I think most people give up with writing too quickly and that's a sad reality. No one should give up on a story that lives rent free in their heads! Here are some more for ya! This week I decided to make this week's theme "action movies"! So without further ado, here are five facts about some of the most popular action films!

1.) Screenwriter Jonathan Hensleigh wrote the screenplay for 𝘋𝘪𝘦 𝘏𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢 𝘝𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 so accurately that the FBI called him up to question how he knew so much about the Federal Reserve. (Everything that he knew, he was told by those in the FBI themselves.)

2.) Robert Downey Jr. is notorious for hiding food and eating in scenes. He improvised part of a scene in 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳𝘴 where he's eating blueberries.

3.) Carrie Fisher was one of the most sought-after script doctors in Hollywood. On top of playing Princess Leia in the 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘳 𝘞𝘢𝘳𝘴 franchise, she also helped improve the scripts for the trilogy prequel.

4.) Bob Anderson (the creator of lightsaber combat) also had a school that the cast of the 𝘗𝘪𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘯 had to attend. At this school, they learned all about cannons and swords.

Happy ! Seeing how this is the last Friday of July (Also last call on those half off July sales! Go check them out.) I decided I wanted to have the theme be "Christmas in July"!

So, here are some fun facts about Christmas movies!!

1.) 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘢 𝘊𝘭𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 starring Tim Allen was filmed in the Greater Toronto Area. They had real reindeer from their local zoo!

2.) Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer was voiced by a woman named Billie Mae Richards, but is credited as "Billy Richards". The producers didn't want it known that Rudolph was voiced by a woman. She was also grossly underpaid.

3.) The Netflix original 𝘈 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘮𝘢𝘴 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦 was filmed in an actual castle in Romania.

4.) The Netflix film 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘚𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩 was based off of Mark Twain's 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘢𝘶𝘱𝘦𝘳.

5.) Director of the 𝘗𝘰𝘭𝘢𝘳 𝘌𝘹𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴, Robert Zemeckis wanted Tom Hanks to voice every role in the film, but in the end, Hanks voiced 5 characters. Can you guess which ones?*
