During our 20 year wedding anniversary is when I saw that Sicily would be the place I would buy a house in italy. Two years later here we are!

A house that looks like a war zone and our talks are about construction and building the life we want. I would not want it any other way. Grazi Mille amore mio! .commenta

Life advice from Sicilian Bar owner Francesco from barederasalemi . It is nice to be nice, it is not nice to be a piece of s**t! Francesco is from salemi but mived to London. He opened the bar before Covid and did a lot of renovations himself as his dad is a builder! We had a great conversation about how so many locals are closed minded and the importance of sharing and collaborating and hopefully some ambition and open kindness will sink in! He had interrupted me to ask Why Salemi? And funny because I just posted that video and my reply again was Why Not? Then him, cg_crochet_ and ai had a lovely conversation! One I wish to have more of on how we can elevate this town together. Thank you Francesco and coming soon a behind the scenes of how to make Casatella. .

Don’t move to Italy if you: 1. If you don’t want to learn the language. At least try and show interest and that you care. 2. If you need everything open during lunch. 3. If you think you’re changing the bureaucracy. 4. If you’re not willing to be vulnerable and sit with solitude. 5. If you can’t slow down and let your nervous system 6. if you can’t laugh at yourself after ugly crying in the Piazza.If you think you’re changing the bureaucracy. 7. Is you like AC or heater because will be hard to find at times. PS the song is just a joke and even after a super challenging day I am still very grateful I am on this journey.

Was Antique shopping in Nardo Italy a good idea? I have never seen a better curated vintage shop like insolita_comune and what Alexandra has put together. I would get so many pieces for my Sicilian home renovation if I lived close. I had to get that tea set for Casa Brasiliana. Did Ryan air notice I had an extra tote bag ?
