The Marlborough Mound is a historical and archaeological site located in Marlborough, Wiltshire, England.
This ancient mound stands about 19 meters (62 feet) high and is believed to date back over 4,000 years to the Neolithic or early Bronze Age, making it roughly contemporaneous with Silbury Hill, another significant prehistoric site nearby.
The mound’s purpose and origins have been subjects of debate. While some theories suggest it was a burial mound, others propose it may have been part of ceremonial or religious activities.
