(March 28, 1958 – March 5, 2025)

It is with a heavy heart and a deep low bow that we acknowledge the passing of this extraordinary giant of Latin Music. What makes him legendary to us is the warmth and encouragement he gave to everyone around him. He was always a great supporter of the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame and since our founding in 2012.

Edesio, we will forever miss you and send you our brightest light and deepest love on your journey through the Universe.

We have lost a great one. Paquita la del Barrio has passed away in Veracruz (Mexico), the same city she was born in.

The Mexican singer will be remembered for her empowering songs for women. She released dozens of albums in her career, and was the first woman honored with a “Lifetime Achievement Award” by the 2021 Billboard Latin Music Awards.
