What a night! The POP girlies (and ’s mom) got to hear live alongside at the ! 🥰 At the last stop on her book tour, Madam VP spoke candidly of what the 107 days of her campaign were really like, how it affected her family, what we can do as citizens moving forward, and she even commented on current events (Epstein files!)!

I, , read the book when it first came out and I enjoyed it very much! Admittedly, I am a political junky—I listen to multiple political podcasts a week, so this book was certainly of interest, but I was thrilled to see how candid and personal it was. It gives insight into what we saw on the campaign trail but with more context and written in the form of a journal. It is also a countdown to Election Day, so there was the feeling of an impending doom coming the further you got into the book.

Overall, we recommend it as an entertaining and personal political read but more so as a guide for how democrats can make a difference in the future. It gives us a chance to rethink our current strategies and goals. It’s a book that can help us all reflect on how to better engage within the political system! Great read! Thank you for your words of wisdom, Madam VP! 💜✨

Are you looking for the perfect literary thriller? “Yellowface” is it and we’ve got you covered! 🔥 For our next episode, we’ll be discussing one of the most popular books since its release in 2023. It’s all about deception, manipulation, plagiarism, imposter syndrome, and everything in between!

Authors Juniper Hayward and Athena Liu were supposed to be twin rising stars. But Athena is a literary darling while June is a nobody. So when June witnesses Athena’s death in a freak accident, she acts on impulse, stealing Athena’s just-finished masterpiece, an experimental novel about the unsung contributions of Chinese laborers during World War I. So what if June edits Athena’s novel and sends it to her agent as her own work? 👀

Have you read this book? Excited to hear us chit chat about it?! We are too! 😉 COMING SOON! ✨

Our next episode is dropping SOON! 👀

We’re discussing “All the Water in the World” by ! 🌆💦 This absolutely beautiful book reminds us of the resilience we’re all capable of, especially when we stick with those who love and support us. Inspired by Octavia Butler’s classic “Parable of the Sower,” Caffall takes us on a journey through New York after the cataclysmic effects of climate change have decimated the planet. Water becomes a main character, something to be feared, respected, but also sought after to sustain life.

As always, we’ll be pairing the story with an excellent bottle of wine and our hot takes! 💥 Have you read this book? What did you think? 🤔

Happy Women’s History Month! 💓✨

We wanted to kick it off by celebrating two women authors whose work we’ve been loving lately! Our upcoming episode’s book is also written by a woman, but more on that soon! 👀

“Nuclear War” by Annie Jacobsen is suspenseful, terrifying, and fascinating! There is only one scenario other than an asteroid strike that could end the world as we know it in a matter of hours: nuclear war. This Pulitzer Prize finalist explores this ticking-clock scenario, based on dozens of exclusive interviews with military and civilian experts who have built the weapons and been privy to the response plans. This book is essential reading, and unlike any other book in its depth and urgency! ⚠️

“The Women” by Kristin Hannah tells the story of an incredibly brave young woman who chooses to join the Army Nurse Corps after her brother is shipped out to serve in Vietnam. The war itself is brutal but a real battle lies in coming home to a changed and divided America, to angry protestors, and to a country that wants to forget Vietnam. Written in Hannah’s signature style, this book is sure to break your heart and lovingly stitch it back together. 🇻🇳

We wanted to highlight two books written by women on subjects not usually associated with women. Although women are oftentimes at the forefront during war and conflict, our stories are rarely written about or written by women.

Which of these two incredible books will you be picking up during Women’s History Month?! 📚
