Good morning everyone ! LONG POST but worth the read.
Yesterday evening was my first solo flight. I was a little nervous leading into it because I am already a little 😶 when it comes to airplanes lol. Well, boarding the plane, as I do always, I touch it and please the blood and covering. When I got to my seat, I prayed with my friend on the phone and she asked how I felt and I told her the word for me today was Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”. I then prayed with my husband, called my mom to tell her I love her and shut my phone to airplane mode and prepared for takeoff. This was a two hour flight and an hour into, that’s when it started; turbulence. At first it was bad, but then as the pilot was announcing something, his speaker stated to go in and out and then he just stopped talking. The plane was moving every which way. Up and down, side to side 😩 I was literally crying but I closed my eyes, and remembered the word. I then pictured angels covering every area of the plane and God saying you’re covered ! I was shaking and I felt knots in my stomach but I knew at that point I was okay because trouble don’t last always and I would soon be planted on solid ground.
It’s so hard sometimes to be in an area that’s rocky and discouraging. We may not have control and all we can do is trust God. This is the remind to do just that ! He wants total control so that He can safely get you to where you need to be. He wants you to know that trouble comes only for a moment and he is leading you through.
