SOMERSET - Local mom Cheryl Whitaker is beefing with Five Guys after discovering the price of a kids' meal during a recent visit. Cheryl, 36, took her 8-year-old son, Brayden, to the burger joint after he insisted, only to be stunned by the $18.71 charge for a mini burger, fries, and drink.
“I thought I was feeding one kid, not financing a food truck,” Cheryl fumed. “For that price, Brayden should’ve gotten a gold-plated ketchup packet!”
Despite the sticker shock, the Somerset mother paid up, citing her son’s relentless begging. “But let me tell you, that was the first—and last—time,” she declared.
Five Guys management had no comment, but Cheryl’s already on a mission. “Until they lower their prices, I’m boycotting their restaurant,” she said, adding, “Brayden can learn to love Happy Meals!”
This is a developing story.
