I went out to dinner thinking it was going to be a normal night. Parked my car on the street like everyone else, locked it, walked into the restaurant with my date. Nothing crazy, just a regular evening. We’re inside maybe an hour, come back out feeling good… and I almost thought I walked up to the wrong car.
All four wheels are gone. Not one, not two… the entire car is sitting on bricks in the middle of the street like it’s a junkyard project. Brake rotors just sitting there exposed like the car got surgically stripped while I was eating pasta. And this is broad daylight on a busy street with apartments everywhere.
What I can’t understand is how this even happens. You’re telling me someone pulled up, jacked the car up, took every wheel off, and not a single person walking by thought that was suspicious? Nobody heard tools, nobody looked out their window, nobody thought “hey maybe that’s not normal.”
Honestly at that point I was more annoyed with everyone around than the thieves. Because there’s no way you remove four wheels from a car in the middle of the day without someone seeing it. Either the whole street watched it happen and said nothing… or people just don’t care about anything unless it’s their problem. Either way that’s insane.
