The Mandalorian & Grogu – FIRST TRAILER (2026) Star Wars | Disney+

Star Wars' next movie, The Mandalorian & Grogu, will completely change the way you see the ending of Return of the Jedi. Star Wars hasn't been back in the cinemas since 2019's Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, but that looks set to change. Over the last year, Lucasfilm has announced several upcoming Star Wars movies - with Jon Favreau's The Mandalorian & Grogu first out of the gate.

Few details have been revealed about The Mandalorian & Grogu at this point. Still, the end of The Mandalorian season 3 seemed like clear setup, giving Pedro Pascal's Din Djarin a new role working for the New Republic as he hunts down Imperial loyalists. The prominence of the Imperial Remnant has massive implications for the end of Return of the Jedi, subtly rewriting it.

Harry Potter And The Cursed Child – First Trailer (2025)

A Harry Potter and the Cursed Child trailer edit reveals a fan take on the movie with the original cast. Ever since the massively popular film series came to a conclusion in 2011 with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, there has been much interest in seeing the franchise's Golden Trio – Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), Hermione Granger (Emma Watson), and Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) – return to the silver screen. One way that could happen is a film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the stage play written by Jack Thorne.

Written by Thorne, with a story by J.K. Rowling and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child takes place 19 years after the main events of Deathly Hallows. The story starts at the same time as the Deathly Hallows epilogue when Harry, Ginny, Ron, and Hermione proudly watch their children leave for Hogwarts at King's Cross station. At this time, Harry is the Head of Magical Law Enforcement, Hermione is the Minister for Magic, and Ron manages Weasley's Wizard Wheezes in Diagon Alley.

Disney's Snow White (2025) Rachel Zegler, Gal Gadot

Disney's live-action Snow White has a high bar to reach thanks to being a remake of a classic animated movie, and that includes becoming as successful as the original at the box office. The trend of turning beloved animated movies into new live-action tales continues in 2024 with the highly anticipated arrival of Snow White. It stars Rachel Zegler as Snow White and Gal Gadot as the Queen, who step into iconic roles from Disney's first-ever animated movie. The original 1937 movie is heralded for its animation and storytelling, allowing it to stand the test of bed time and make Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs a success.

Part of the reason why Disney has become so focused on these live-action remakes is the massive success that can be found at the box office. Several of them have made over $1 billion worldwide, and that is certainly the type of performance Disney is hoping from the live-action Snow White. This would easily surpass the original animated movie at the box office, but simply beating Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs might not be enough. If Disney's retelling of Snow White is to be as successful as the first, it will need to outperform the animated release by a wide margin.

DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN – First Look Trailer (2024) Charlie Cox, Jon Bernthal

Daredevil: Born Again star Charlie Cox elaborates on how the Marvel Cinematic Universe series will live up to the action in Netflix's Daredevil TV show. The Devil of Hell's Kitchen is about to have a bigger role than ever in the MCU timeline, as Daredevil: Born Again will continue the adventures of Matt Murdock, with Cox reprising the iconic superhero. Production on Daredevil: Born Again season 1 wrapped a few months ago, as post-production is currently taking place on the episodes that will air in March 2025.

While a lot of story details on the Daredevil: Born Again TV show are being kept under wraps, there will be a major element that will carry over from Netflix's Daredevil series. At this year's Fan Expo Boston (via Collider), Cox opened up about things that the MCU audience can look forward to in the upcoming Marvel release. One of these regarded the action beats that were highly praised in Netflix's Daredevil, with Cox teasing that "those who are excited by [oners] will not be disappointed

BLADE Teaser Trailer (2024) With Mahershala Ali & Jennifer Lawrence

Blade is a 1998 American superhero horror film directed by Stephen Norrington and written by David S. Goyer. Based on the Marvel Comics superhero of the same name, it is the first installment of the Blade franchise. The film stars Wesley Snipes as the titular character with Stephen Dorff, Kris Kristofferson and N'Bushe Wright in supporting roles. In the film, Blade is a Dhampir, a human with vampire strengths but not their weaknesses, who together with his mentor Abraham Whistler and hematologist Karen Jenson, fights against vampires, namely the exceptionally vicious Deacon Frost.

Released on August 21, 1998, Blade was a commercial success, grossing $70 million at the U.S. box office, and $131.2 million worldwide. Despite mixed reviews from film critics, the film received a positive reception from audiences and has since garnered a cult following. It is also hailed as one of Snipes' signature roles. It was followed by two sequels, Blade II and Blade: Trinity, both written by Goyer who also directed the latter. Blade was a dark superhero film for its time. The success of Blade began Marvel's film success and set the stage for further comic book film adaptations.

Marvel Studios' THOR V: Legend of Hercules – TRAILER (2025)

Thor 5 can turn the franchise around after Thor: Love and Thunder proved itself disappointing, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe could use a famous director and an exciting Marvel Comics story to make Thor's next solo film the best he has had so far. Chris Hemsworth's Thor is one of the few members of the original Avengers to remain active in the MCU. Currently, Hemsworth's Thor movies hold a major record for the franchise, as the hero is the only character to star in four solo films, though Tom Holland's Spider-Man will tie him with Spider-Man 4.

While Hemsworth is the only MCU star with four solo films, the actor's latest Thor movie was not the success Marvel expected. Despite its box office success, Thor: Love and Thunder became one of the MCU's most criticized movies. The film had a clear clash of tones, with director Taika Waititi's love for humor and improv actively hurting the film instead of making it better, as was the case for the beloved Thor: Ragnarok, which is one of the MCU's best movies. Hemsworth's Thor 5 needs to turn the franchise around, and Marvel has the perfect means to do so.

Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens, and Andy Serkis are returning to Middle-earth! Just announced today, a new film set in the Lord of the Rings universe will release in 2026 - Hunt for Gollum. Serkis will return to play Gollum as well as direct. Jackson, Walsh, & Boyens are producing.

The script is currently being worked on by Walsh and Boyens as well as War of the Rohirrim writing duo Phoebe Gittins and Arty Papageorgiou.
