The five most collectible wines in the world. Three of them you cannot buy. You can only inherit a spot in line.
Romanée-Conti produces roughly 6,000 bottles per year from a 1.8-hectare monopole, the only one of its kind on earth. The 2022 vintage just received a perfect 100/100. Domaine Leroy makes fewer than 300 bottles in some parcels. Screaming Eagle has 600 cases annually and a waitlist measured in years.
Pétrus has never needed a Bordeaux classification. Mouton Rothschild commissions a new artist every year, Picasso, Chagall, Warhol, which means the bottle is a collectible before you open it.
These aren't investments. They're the last bottles of something that will never exist again.
