🚨 Big news for South Dade commuters! 🚨

After years of waiting, the South Dade TransitWay officially opens October 27 — a $396M project that’s Miami-Dade’s first major transit expansion in a decade. 🚌⚡

Here’s what’s coming:
🚏 20-mile route from Florida City to Dadeland South
🚍 60 all-electric express buses
🌬️ A/C, Wi-Fi & charging ports onboard
🚦 Signal priority + gate arms for faster rides
🏘️ 4,400 affordable housing units planned along the route

Officials say it could cut commutes in half and lay the groundwork for future light rail.

🚨 Miami’s biggest development proposal yet is here — and it’s stirring up major debate.

🏙️ Lennar just filed official plans for a $2 billion mega-community in West Kendall, called City Park.

Here’s what’s planned:
🏡 7,800 new homes (including 975 workforce units)
🏢 1.4M sq. ft. of retail + 500K office + 500K industrial
🌳 250 acres of parks, lakes & open space
🎓 20 acres for schools & civic centers
👷‍♂️ 13,000 permanent jobs projected

But there’s a catch — the land sits outside Miami-Dade’s Urban Development Boundary. That means it’ll take a super-majority vote from the County Commission to move forward.

Developers call it a solution to housing and traffic.
Opponents call it a threat to farmland and the environment.
