We are living in an era of attention. .
How fast can we grab someone’s eye… and keep it long enough for the algorithm to say, “Yep, show them more of this!”
This is the game now — and if you’re an artist in these times, you need to be visible. You need to make exciting content, keep people engaged, write, record, release, tour… even if your music is amazing, sometimes it’s still not enough.
It feels like trying to crack a giant code 😂 And trust me, I’m still trying! But I’m here giving it a fair go.
What I’ve learned is this:
The more honest and authentic I am, the more people connect.
Recently I’ve branched out into another passion of mine — inspiring people to live healthy and plant-based.
I’ll be sharing some little cooking videos over the next few days too — another passion of mine that I’m excited to finally put out there 🥗🌱✨
If you’re also trying to navigate this content world, my advice is simple:
Keep trying. Don’t let it get you down if people don’t notice straight away. Just be real. Be vulnerable. Speak your truth.
When people see someone being genuine, they feel it — because they’re probably going through the same thing.
Yes, this tech age has a dark side… but we can use it for good. I’m using it to bring my little piece of light into the world. And you can too.
So if you’re an artist or a small business owner:
Don’t create content because it’s a chore.
Create with love.
Share who you are.
Shine bright.
You will be seen.
