The Game and Jay-Z have been arguing for over 20 years, and it all started because of one bad conversation. When The Game was a brand-new rapper, he ran into Jay-Z at a club in New York. He looked up to Jay-Z and asked him for some career advice on how to stay successful in the music business for a long time.Instead of being helpful, Jay-Z was mean to him. He told The Game that most new rappers fail quickly anyway and told him to "find a new lane" or choose a different career.
This completely crushed and angered The Game, who took the comment as a huge insult to his talent.To get revenge, The Game spent the next two decades writing angry songs insulting Jay-Z. Looking back, The Game admits he was just hurt because his idol rejected him. However, that one quick conversation ruined any chance of them ever being friends.
