Originally gifted to her by longtime mentor Ralph “Alaye” Metullus—a master of guitar and bass—the track began as a heartfelt exchange between two lovers seeking forgiveness. Alaye crafted the first verse and hook; RIMIDI completed the story with her second verse, refined hook, and soul-stirring bridge.

But over time, the meaning shifted.

After profound personal loss and a journey of inner rebuilding, RIMIDI uncovered a deeper truth within the music.
What once felt like a plea to someone else became a promise to herself.

“It became an apology note to myself—a vow to honor my worth, to treat myself with care, and to never settle for less than I deserve.”
