Today I looked at him standing there, and his eyes told me everything his words couldn’t. ❤️
His expression looks tired, a little confused, but still so gentle. Dementia has a way of making even simple days feel heavy. Some mornings he knows exactly what is happening, and some mornings he looks around like he is trying to find a memory that keeps slipping away.
As his daughter and caregiver, I’ve learned to read the quiet moments. The tired eyes. The soft stare. The little signs that say, “I need you right now.” And even when my heart feels heavy, I remind myself that he once showed up for me without question.
Now it is my turn to show up for him with patience, love, and prayer.
Please keep him in your prayers today. 🙏
