"God is most great! I bear witness that there is no god but God. I bear witness that Muhammad is the messenger of God. Come to prayer. Come to security. God is most great! There is no god but God." This cry is broadcast from the minarets of ten thousand mosques 5 times a day-at dawn, mid-day, mid-after-noon ,sunset & nightfall. It is heard throughout the middle East, Africa & Asia-from istanbul to Zanzibar, & from Cairo to Calcutta. It calls some 500 million people called Muslims to prayer. They are the followers of the religion, taught by the prophet Muhammad in the seventh century A.D. Which is called "Islam". "Islam is an arabic word meaning submission-or-surrender- to God. Muhammad used this word to describe the faith he preached because he taught that the relationship between man & God should be one of submission or surrender. Thi means that man should obey God, & try to live according to his will because God is the Lord of man & man is servant of God.
