Two weeks to Todd’s 35th birthday, he asked me to organize a dinner party. He said, "Invite the family, my buddies, everyone. Just make it decent, alright? I don't want to be embarrassed in front of everyone."
Arrangements were on me—food, the house, inviting 20 people. Todd did nothing, repeating he was "busy with work."
That evening, everything was in place: food prepped, drinks set, house spotless. Todd came in, glanced at it all, and announced, "Looks good, but I've changed my mind a bit. I'm heading to the bar with the guys instead. СANCEL EVERYTHING. Tell everyone something came up." He walked right out.
Staring at the dinner and decor, I felt ridiculous. Cancel everything, after all this? Not happening.
I got my phone, aware embarrassment would not be mine. ⬇️ Full article in 1st comment👇💬👀
