Spending more than two decades cooking alongside James Beard Award-winning Chef Michelle Bernstein, Jason Schaan has served as executive chef for some of Miami’s most beloved restaurants including Cafe La Trova and Michy’s.

Working in kitchens across Miami with Chef Michelle Bernstein, Jason decided to take his passion and talents to the next level and start his own venture with MKT Kitchen.

A true connoisseur of approachable gourmet cuisine, Jason aims to create comforting and delicious dishes using only high-quality, seasonal ingredients. He sources what he can from local farmers and fishermen who are known for bringing new, fresh and artisanal products to Miami.

A graduate of Johnson & Wales in North Miami, Jason has held every position in the kitchen and previously worked at restaurants serving sophisticated locals and discerned guests of luxury hotels such as the Ritz-Carlton Bal Harbour, Thompson Miami Beach, Mandarin Oriental and Loews.

MUSEUM OF ICE CREAM @ FAENA

With sold-out runs in previous cities, the Museum of Ice Cream expects a similar turnout in Miami Beach. Tickets will be available online for $38 each and include samplings from local ice-cream shops. Street parking or valet at the Faena is not included.
