Thailand has violated the ceasefire agreement by arresting 20 Cambodian soldiers (and shooting two others whose conditions remain unknown-whether dead or alive under the pretense of inviting them to shake hands and take group photos. Thalland's actions constitute a breach of the Kuala Lumpur ceasefire agreement and are in violation of international law, specifically the 1949 Geneva Conventions concerning the treatment of prisoners of war (POWs). Cambodia must gather evidence in order to condemn Thailand for committing war crimes.

BREAKING: Cambodian Soldiers Tricked, Captured, and Shot by Thai Troops Despite Ceasefire

A cruel betrayal under the false promise of peace.

Twenty Cambodian soldiers were invited by Thai troops to shake hands as a gesture of goodwill. They were told to come unarmed no weapons, no threat. Trusting the ceasefire agreement, they complied.

But it was a trap.

As they arrived, armed Thai soldiers suddenly emerged from the forest. Two Cambodian soldiers were shot. One escaped by pretending to be dead. The other seventeen remain missing their condition and location still unknown.

The image below shows Cambodian soldiers sitting defenseless in a trench unarmed, unaware that betrayal was moments away. This is not just a ceasefire violation. It is a disgraceful, inhumane ambush.

This act shows a shocking lack of honor, dignity, and respect for peace.

We demand answers.
We demand accountability.
We demand the safe return of our soldiers.
