Before Miami had celebrity DJ’s and rooftop parties, there was The Zoo — a legendary underground scene where Miami’s best DJs, MCs, B-Boys, B-Girls, writers and music lovers came together to create history.
We sit down with one of the founding members, Brimstone where he takes you back to a golden era of Miami hip-hop — the energy, the culture, and the people who built the foundation. We uncover how The Zoo became a movement that helped shape the city’s sound and influenced a generation of DJs and artists.
Now, decades later, some of the key figures return for The Zoo Reunion — bringing back that raw Miami energy to Lincoln’s Beard Brewing on Sunday, November 16th.
