“Many years ago when I heard about Becky’s struggle with fertility and within that struggle Helpusadopt.org was born, I was blown away by her passion and commitment to others who were going through the same thing. To create a whole nonprofit out of some of her darkest moments is a truly beautiful and selfless endeavor. As an adoptee, I was touched. It was a no brainer for me to help whenever I could.

It’s hard to put into words what being an adoptee is like. Especially as a child from the 1970’s where adoption was secretive and not what it is today. My Mom told me at a very early age that I was born from her heart and was wanted very much. And as an adult I knew what immense love and courage it must have been for my biological mother to choose a better life for me through adoption. The ultimate selfless act of love.

And what crushes me is how expensive it has become to adopt! This vital act of starting families can be out of reach for so many and that’s why it’s crucial to help nonprofits such as Helpusadopt.org, because without it someone like myself wouldn’t have the life, or the family, or be the person that l am today.

Even as a little girl, I always said to myself, if I ever met my biological mother l’d thank her. Because without her decision I wouldn’t have the life that I have. The ultimate act of love.”

Helpusadopt.org is a national 501(c) (3) financial grant program that helps couples/individuals (regardless of ethnicity, gender, marital status, race, religion, or sexual orientation) with the cost of their adoptions by awarding grants up to $30,000.
