You know utilization of hashtags are important, but every time you post, you scratch your head and tag your restaurants name 🤣

❌🙅‍♀️🚫 THAT IS INCORRECT

When tagging only your business’s name, only the people who already know of the restaurant can find it.

Think of factors such as ⬇️

- Geographical location
- Specific niche talking points which your guests may follow
- Name of the dish or ingredients within that sees large amounts of exposure
- Be specific, there are millions of people on Instagram. Your post may be drowned out within 30 seconds if the hashtag is too popular.
- Cultural identify of your business, whether it pertains to the concept, audience or owner.

⚫️When your competition is posting mindlessly, you post with brand image in mind.

🔴Overtime, their page will look like a mess, meanwhile yours, is visually pleasing.
The significance of a visually pleasing page is often ignored, but you must remember.

😊🤌When you post something eye catching, chances are, the viewer will click onto your page. They will then have an “over-all “ impression of your page that can sometimes trump the initial impression.

🙈You wouldn’t want to undo the hard work of creating the post by having a sloppy page.

📈At the end of the day, you’re looking to bring customers in with your Instagram, use the whole platform effectively.

🎨Think about how you can utilize colors, patterns and formats to enrich the aesthetics of your page.

📸If you can, hire a photographer and have photos of your food taken for the page.

❌Instead of just posting a cocktail and asking all potential guests to

❌“Come and get tipsy with us this weekend. :P”

🙂Ask yourself, “which guests do I want to appeal to?”

❓ “Do I want to appeal to price, flavor or story?” Is a great way to start your post crafting process.

✅For example:

➡️ “Reminder: Shots are buy one get one 50% off this Thursday” may be more appealing to your guests than

➡️“Punch of Mittens, was crafted by award winning mixologist, Mustache Dude, after he reunited with his cat after being separated for nearly 3 years. The streaks of yellow and orange represents the sky the day Mr. Mittens and Mustache Dude reunited. This drink is tropical with notes of mango and pineapple and is refreshing from acidity of lime juice. The team here enjoys this cocktail with our signature toasted sesame fried rice.”

✅But the reverse could be true depending on the desired effect of the post and the image the restaurant looking to portray.

💡Pretend that you are speaking to a specific person/ audience when crafting your posts as a guide for your text style!
