United States Allocates Over $21.7 Billion in Military Aid to Israel Since Start of Gaza War, Brown University Report Reveals
360 Raw Magazine staff
Washington, D.C. — On the second anniversary of the Hamas attacks that ignited the war in Gaza, a newly released report from Brown University’s Costs of War project reveals that the U.S. government has committed at least $21.7 billion in military aid to Israel since October 7, 2023.

marked a historic peak, with $17.9 billion allocated, the largest single-year military assistance package in the history of U.S.-Israel defense cooperation.

The total includes:
Direct funding to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF)

Arms sales agreements

Transfers of advanced combat systems

Among the equipment supplied are fighter jets, helicopters, missiles, precision-guided bombs, and advanced targeting systems, all used in operations across Gaza, the West Bank, and other strategic zones.

Regional Operations and Total Expenditure
Beyond direct aid to Israel, the report notes that the U.S. has spent between $9.65 billion and $12.07 billion on military operations in Yemen and other parts of the Middle East, aimed at protecting American interests and supporting regional allies.

This brings the total U.S. military expenditure related to the conflict to between $31.35 billion and $33.77 billion, according to Brown University’s analysis.

🧨 Humanitarian Impact in Gaza

The study also highlights the severe human toll of the conflict. It estimates that over 10% of Gaza’s population has been killed or injured, and at least 5.27 million people have been displaced across Gaza and neighboring areas.
Strategic Alliance Reaffirmed
U.S. military assistance is described as critical to the operational capacity of Israeli forces, with the report emphasizing that Israel’s sustained campaign against Hamas would not have been possible without American support. While the figures do not include future commitments, additional billions in bilateral agreements are expected in the coming years.

Grand Central Terminal Transforms into a Public Gallery with “Dear New York,” the Largest Art Installation in Its History
360 Raw Magazine Staff
📍 New York City, NY — October 7, 2025

For the first time in its 112-year history, Manhattan’s iconic Grand Central Terminal has removed all commercial advertising to make way for a sweeping art installation: Dear New York, a project by Brandon Stanton, the photographer behind the renowned Humans of New York. The exhibit, open through October 19, turns the bustling transportation hub into a living gallery that honors the city’s diverse residents.

Portraits Replace Ads
Over 150 digital screens and 50-foot projections now display portraits of everyday New Yorkers, each paired with deeply personal quotes. Stanton, who moved to New York 15 years ago, calls the exhibit a “love letter” to the city. “I wanted every person walking through here to feel something—joy, reflection, connection,” he said in a recent interview.

Art in Every Corner of the Station
The installation spans the entire terminal, from the celestial turquoise ceiling of the main concourse to the subway corridors, redesigned by the creative firm Pentagram. In Vanderbilt Hall, two additional exhibits feature work by public school students and professional photographers. One standout is Sara Bennett, who showcases portraits of formerly incarcerated women, each accompanied by handwritten notes about freedom and transformation.

Among the most recognizable faces is Colombian street performer Julio César Díaz, known for dancing with a Mexican Catrina figure in the subway. His joyful portrait with a flower-adorned skull is part of the tribute to the city’s everyday icons.

A Book That Gives Back
The exhibit coincides with the release of Stanton’s fifth photo book, also titled Dear New York. He announced that a portion of the book’s proceeds will support local charities. The project is entirely self-funded, with no corporate sponsorship, offering a rare model of accessible, nonprofit public art.

Hours and Access
The exhibit is open daily from 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. in the main concourse, with specific hours for Vanderbilt Hall. Admission is free, making it accessible to both tourists and locals alike.

Alert in the U.S.: Air Traffic Controller Shortage Threatens Airport Operations Amid Government Shutdown

By 360 Raw Magazine Staff a specialist reporter in U.S. aviation safety and airport operations

Washington D.C., October 7, 2025 — The ongoing U.S. government shutdown is beginning to impact air traffic control staffing at several airports nationwide, raising alarms over potential flight disruptions and operational safety risks. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy issued a warning Monday, stating that if the shutdown continues, flight schedules could be significantly affected.

Speaking at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), which serves the New York metropolitan area, Duffy confirmed a “surge in sick calls” from air traffic controllers who are failing to report for duty. These absences are attributed to the fact that federal employees, including controllers, are currently working without pay due to the shutdown.

Immediate Operational Impact

According to Secretary Duffy, the first tangible consequence could be a reduction in the number of flights operating daily across the United States. The FAA has acknowledged that staffing shortages are already affecting nighttime operations at multiple facilities.

A total of 12 FAA air traffic control towers are preparing for reduced staffing during overnight shifts, including:

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX)

Denver International Airport (DEN)

Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)

Jacksonville International Airport (JAX)

Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD)

Washington National Airport (DCA)
Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR)

🛑 Burbank Tower Closure Confirmed

The FAA tower at Hollywood Burbank Airport closed Monday night due to insufficient staffing. An alert issued by the airport confirmed the nighttime shutdown, validating Secretary Duffy’s earlier warning that many controllers were considering calling out due to lack of pay.

During the closure, air traffic services were rerouted to remote facilities, and operations were limited. The FAA has not disclosed the full extent of delays, but similar disruptions are expected at other affected towers.

🚫 Rural Travel Subsidies at Risk

Duffy also noted that if the shutdown continues through the weekend, federal subsidies for rural air travel — including essential services in remote regions such as Alaska — will run out of funding.

This could leave isolated communities without reliable air access.

📚 Historical Precedent: 2019 Shutdown

During the last major government shutdown in 2019, widespread delays at airports across the country — including LaGuardia, Newark, and Atlanta — pressured Congress and
Atlanta — pressured Congress and President Trump to reach a bipartisan agreement after 35 days of gridlock.

🔍 Federal Workforce Under Strain

As of Monday, the shutdown has entered its sixth day. Over 750,000 federal employees are affected, including 13,000 air traffic controllers and 50,000 TSA agents, all of whom are working without pay. The strain on the aviation system is growing, with unions and safety experts urging swift legislative
action.

📣 Union Response

Nick Daniels, President of the National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA), called on Congress to “end the shutdown immediately” and protect the integrity of the national airspace system, which is considered one of the most complex and safest in the world.

Taylor Swift Shatters Records with ‘The Life of a Showgirl’: 2.7 Million Copies Sold on Day One in the U.S.

By [360 Raw Magazine], staff Music News Specialist | October 6, 2025

Taylor Swift has once again redefined the boundaries of commercial success in the music industry. Her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, sold a staggering 2.7 million copies in the United States on its release day, October 3, according to verified data from Luminate, as reported by Billboard.

This marks the biggest first-day sales of Swift’s career and the second-largest debut week in modern U.S. chart history, trailing only Adele’s 25, which sold 3.378 million copies in its first week back in 2015. With five days remaining in the tracking period, Swift is on pace to potentially surpass that record.

Vinyl Milestone: A New Industry Benchmark

Swift also set a new record for vinyl sales in a single week, moving 1.2 million units of The Life of a Showgirl. She previously held the record with The Tortured Poets Department, which sold 859,000 vinyl copies in its first week in 2024.

🎧 Streaming Domination

Spotify confirmed that the album became the most-streamed release in a single day on its platform in 2025. The opening track, “The Fate of Ophelia,” broke the record for most single-day streams of any song in Spotify history.

Earlier last week, Spotify also announced that The Life of a Showgirl had surpassed five million pre-saves, making it the most pre-saved album ever on the platform.

From Studio to Screen: A Cinematic Celebration

To accompany the album, Swift released Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl, a theatrical film blending documentary, visual essay, and fan celebration. The film grossed $15.8 million on its opening day and has reached $46 million globally as of October 6, according to box office tracking site The Numbers.

A Return to Pop Grandeur

Musically, The Life of a Showgirl marks a stylistic shift from the introspective tone of The Tortured Poets Department. Swift returns to the polished, theatrical pop sound that defined her earlier eras, reuniting with producers Max Martin and Shellback—known for crafting hits like “Blank Space” and “Shake It Off”.

With nearly a week left in the tracking window, industry analysts are watching closely to see if Swift will dethrone Adele and claim the biggest debut week of all time.

Washington in Gridlock: Congress Fails to End Federal Government Shutdown

By 360 Raw Magazine staff Political Correspondent in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON — The United States Congress failed once again on Monday to pass a temporary funding measure to reopen the federal government, which has remained shut down since October 1, 2025.

With five failed Senate votes, the budget impasse deepens, directly impacting more than 1.4 million federal employees.

No Breakthrough: Democrats and Republicans Deadlocked

In a tense day on Capitol Hill, the Senate rejected two back-to-back proposals: a Republican bill to extend government funding through November 21, and a Democratic measure that included a renewal of Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) subsidies set to expire later this year.

The Republican proposal received 52 votes in favor and 42 against—well short of the 60 votes needed to overcome a filibuster.

The Democratic plan was voted down minutes earlier, also failing to reach the 60-vote threshold.

Democratic Senators Catherine Cortez Masto (Nevada) and John Fetterman (Pennsylvania), along with Independent Senator Angus King (Maine), crossed party lines to support the Republican bill, but their votes were not enough.

Senator Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) was the lone Republican to vote against his party’s proposal.

Shutdown Fallout: Over 1.3 Million Workers Affected
According to official estimates, the shutdown has sidelined approximately 800,000 federal employees on furlough and left another 700,000 working without pay. Agencies such as the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) have suspended key data releases, complicating economic decision-making ahead of the Federal Reserve’s upcoming meeting.

The Treasury Department warned Monday that the absence of air traffic controllers is already causing flight delays, and fears are growing that more workers may call in sick, further disrupting air travel nationwide.

Political Standoff: Health Care at the Heart of the Dispute
The central sticking point remains the renewal of Obamacare subsidies. Democrats insist on preserving the program for millions of households, while Republicans—led by President Donald Trump—have accused the subsidies, without evidence, of benefiting undocumented immigrants.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) declared that “there’s nothing to negotiate,” while Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries urged the White House to begin formal talks.

Looming Threat: Potential Layoffs Ahead

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued guidance last week allowing agencies to consider permanent layoffs in programs reliant on depleted discretionary funds. If the shutdown continues, it could mirror the 2019 crisis—the longest in U.S. history—which lasted 35 days and cost the economy over $6 billion.

Bottom Line

With no resolution in sight, the federal government remains in a state of paralysis, with far-reaching economic, social, and political consequences. As the Senate prepares for further sessions this week, pressure mounts on both parties to prevent the shutdown from escalating into a prolonged national crisis.

United States Intensifies Counter-Narcotics Offensive in the Caribbean: Trump Confirms New Strike and Hints at Ground Operations

By 360 Raw Magazine staff National Security Desk | October 6, 2025

NORFOLK, VIRGINIA — U.S.

U.S. President Donald J. Trump confirmed on Sunday a new military strike against a vessel allegedly linked to drug trafficking in Caribbean waters, escalating Washington’s crackdown on maritime smuggling routes. Speaking during the 250th anniversary celebration of the U.S. Navy at Naval Station Norfolk, the president suggested that future operations could shift from sea to land.

“No boats left” in the Caribbean

Trump hailed recent military actions against drug-laden vessels as “successful,” claiming that maritime traffic in the region has virtually disappeared. “In recent weeks, the Navy has supported our mission to completely eliminate cartel terrorists… We don’t find any anymore. Not even fishing boats—nobody wants to go out on the water,” he told service members.

The latest strike reportedly occurred on the night of Saturday, October 4, though the president declined to provide operational details. “My people will give you those details,” he told reporters upon returning to the White House.

Strategic shift: From sea to land

With maritime activity dwindling, Trump warned that traffickers may be forced to operate from land. “Now we’ll have to start looking on land because they’ll be forced to go there,” he said—hinting at a potential expansion of U.S. counter-narcotics efforts into foreign territory.

The statement has raised concerns in the region, particularly in Venezuela, where President Nicolás Maduro’s government has accused the U.S. of “military harassment” following reports of American aircraft flying near its coastline.

💬 “An act of kindness”

The president framed the military campaign as a humanitarian effort: “Each of those boats is responsible for the death of 25,000 Americans and families, and when you look at it from that point of view, what we’re doing is an act of kindness.”

📊 Preliminary toll

According to Pentagon sources, at least 21 people have died as a result of the strikes carried out since early September. This latest operation marks the fourth confirmed incident in less than five weeks.

Trump Deploys California Troops to Oregon, Defying Democratic Governors and Federal Court Ruling

By 360 Raw Magazine staff the National Security Desk | Washington D.C., October 6, 2025

In a move that has reignited debate over federal authority and states’ rights, President Donald J. Trump ordered the deployment of 300 California National Guard troops to Portland, Oregon, on Sunday, following a federal judge’s decision blocking his attempt to mobilize Oregon’s own Guard forces.

The action is being described by state leaders as a direct challenge to the authority of Democratic governors in both states.

📌 Legal and Political Background

Federal Judge Karin Immergut, appointed by Trump, issued a temporary injunction on Saturday preventing the president from deploying 200 Oregon National Guard troops to Portland. In her ruling, Immergut stated that “no insurrection or national security threat exists” and warned that the deployment “would blur the line between civilian and military authority.”

In response, Trump activated federal control over 300 California National Guard soldiers who have remained under federal command since June, following a legal dispute with California Governor Gavin Newsom. Although a federal court previously ruled that Trump’s unilateral federalization of 4,000 California troops was unlawful, it allowed the administration to retain control over the 300 still active at the time of the ruling.

Governors Push Back
Governor Newsom condemned the deployment as “an assault on the rule of law” and announced plans to challenge the move in court. “This is not about public safety—it’s about power,” Newsom said in an official statement.

Oregon Governor Tina Kotek confirmed that at least 101 California troops arrived in Portland late Saturday without prior notice. “This appears to be a deliberate attempt to circumvent judicial oversight. Oregon is our home, not a military target,” she said.

🔥 Deployment Justified by Migration Protests

Deployment Justified by Migration Protests
The White House defended the deployment, citing the need to protect federal facilities amid growing protests over immigration raids. Demonstrations have intensified since Trump designated the Antifa movement as a terrorist organization. Portland, home to Rose City Antifa—one of the most prominent antifascist groups in the country—has been repeatedly described by Trump as “a war-torn city.”

Local officials, however, insist that protests have been “modest and largely peaceful,” and argue that there is no threat warranting federal military intervention.

Trump Announces UFC Mega-Event at the White House on His 80th Birthday

By 360 Raw Magazine staff NFC Combat USA Sports Desk

Washington, D.C. — In a stunning crossover between politics and combat sports, U.S. President Donald J. Trump confirmed this Sunday that the White House will host an official UFC fight night on June 14, 2026—his 80th birthday.

Presidential Announcement

During a visit to the Norfolk Naval Station in Virginia, where he led celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Navy, Trump made the unexpected declaration:

“On June 14 next year, we’ll have a big UFC fight at the White House… on its grounds.”

This announcement shifts the date previously set by UFC President Dana White, who in August had stated the event would take place on July 4, 2026, in honor of America’s 250th Independence Day.

📅 Date Change and Ivanka’s Role
In an interview with CBS, White revealed that Trump appointed his daughter Ivanka Trump to oversee planning and logistics for the event. While UFC has yet to release an official statement regarding the new date, sources close to the organization confirm that preparations are well underway.

🤝 Trump and Dana White: A Strategic Alliance

Trump and White have maintained a close relationship since the 2016 presidential campaign. The president attended a UFC event in New Jersey in June 2025, further cementing his ties to the sport and its leadership.

🎖️ Political and Social Context

On June 14, 2025—Trump’s 79th birthday—Washington hosted a massive military parade to honor the Armed Forces’ 250th anniversary. The event sparked nationwide protests under the banner “No King,” reflecting public dissent over the administration’s immigration raids.

🔍 UFC at the White House: What to Expect

While the fight card and participating athletes remain undisclosed, insiders suggest the event will feature high-profile matchups and global media coverage. It would mark the first time in history that a UFC event is held on the grounds of the presidential residence—a groundbreaking moment for both sports and politics.

Stay tuned to NFC Combat USA for exclusive updates on this historic event where presidential power meets octagon intensity.
