This Snake is well-known for its enormous teeth. These are not technically "fangs" as they do not inject venom, but are just really long teeth. They do fold backwards like fangs found in the mouths of vipers, but vipers generally have 1 set of fangs, whereas the Emerald Tree Boa has rows of massive teeth that allow it to reach out in the jungle canopy and sn**ch a bird or a bat flying past. These massive teeth also help this snake to grab tree-dwelling rodents and other mammals from branches with less risk of dropping its prey or the prey escaping from its strike. It's commonly believed that this adaptation is to catch birds or bats in mid-flight, but this is actually false, as their diets mainly consist of rodents and other small mammals. I hope that you found this slow-motion video of the Amazon Tree Boa super interesting, and if you have any questions about this species, then let me know in the comments what you think about this snake! 🐍😲

This snake is probably the world's most misunderstood snake species! So many people think that the Black Mamba is an aggressive snake that is out there to attack people, but that couldn't be further from the truth. The Black Mamba is an amazing snake that is excellent at controlling pests such as rats and mice, and is one of the only animals in the world that actually does a good job at helping control feral cat populations. They are arguably one of the most impressive snakes in the world, and seeing a Black Mamba face-to-face in the wild is one of the most incredible wildlife encounters anyone can have. These snakes are fast and agile, but when given a chance, they will escape without hesitation, and only bite when they feel threatened or attacked. However, BLACK MAMBAS SIMPLY DO NOT CHASE PEOPLE!

This snake is not doing what it looks like! This snake is actually pretending to be dead. It is completely faking it and is perfectly fine. This snake will even begin to defecate to make it less attractive to any potential predator or threat that might be attacking it. This snake was not provoked or taunted to get it to do this; this species actually often does this without you even trying to get it to do this, which can be quite annoying when you are trying to film a Rinkhals hooding, but it prefers to flop over and play dead within seconds. It's actually quite surprising and quite comical when you first see this happen in real life, and after a couple of minutes or so, the rinkhals will just come back to life and act as if nothing happened at all. πŸ˜‚πŸ

Could you spot this snake before it’s too late?
The Gaboon Viper has the longest fangs out of any venomous snake in the world, and although they are generally reluctant to bite, they are super fast when they strike and will defend themselves if provoked. They have the ultimate camouflage out of any snake in the world, and the only other snake that comes close is probably the Rhinoceros Viper, which, in my opinion, is far more beautiful, but nothing compares to the size and power of an adult Gaboon Viper!
