The Ant's Dream
It is staggering how life transitions from the relevant to the insignificant with such brass nerve, bruising the ego until your only ambition is for destiny to forget you. And there you remain, like a worker ant, toiling with little hope but a fixed idea: surrendering to the dream is not an option. Yet, we are mistaken. In the end, sleep overtakes us where we least expect it—rarely in the comfort of our own bed.

Then, sick and drained of strength, you wonder what compels your body to keep fighting when chronic pain has already seen to the erasure of all hope. And there you are... observing that surrendered body from above, while everything ceases to matter because you have become a photon flying, finally, toward the universal pyre.

El Sueno de la Hormiga
Es asombroso cómo la vida transita de lo relevante a lo insignificante con tal desfachatez, golpeando el ego hasta que solo aspiras a que el destino se olvide de ti. Y ahí sigues, como una hormiga obrera, trabajando sin mucha esperanza pero con una idea fija: rendirse al sueño no es opción. Sin embargo, nos equivocamos. Time is the slow-acting poison that brings you close to being
liberated. It sounds funny—a sour hum vibrating in the static of the forgotten truth.
Distance is just a lie we tell to catch our breath,
While the whisper of the void—
quantum, ancient, cold desire—
Decides the rhythm of our blood.
How the bastards are we, Muppets of a borrowed history,
Forced to swear an oath to a destiny we never wrote.
But I was there: so small, yet so primigenius.
The very dream that fuels the flight of other entities
Is the one stolen life.
And there you stand, at the edge of my receding light,
A figure stitched from the same stolen thread.
However, I’m here, so deeply connected to the lie that’s bringing me meaning.
But the knot is visceral, biological—a curse of the marrow.
Their very existence depends on our lack of presence,
Braided by words that are conjured, and sentences that are deaths, and soon forgotten.
But I see you. I feel you in every cell of my being.
I truly believe that your spell is my ultimate meaning.
Even if it’s all just another lie to keep me a slave,
Only because of the whisper of you,
Will make our circuit never end.
