Road closure for this Thursday 9am to 2pm

* US 60 CLOSURE - SUPERIOR *

US 60 will be closed for the bridge replacement project between Superior and Miami (mileposts 227-243) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 28.

Detours:
Eastbound - Use southbound State Route 177 through Winkelman to northbound SR 77.
Westbound - Use southbound SR 77 through Winkelman to northbound SR 177.

**NOTE** Due to the roughly 75-mile length of this detour, drivers may want to consider planning travel before 9 a.m. and after 2 p.m. The detour is estimated to add an additional hour for trips between Superior and Miami.

Memorial Day is a celebration of life. Drink that beer, get that deal, ride those bikes, and plant that flag.

Enjoy the beginning of summer (the worst season TBH) and have an extra hot dog, hamburger, or a whole ass second plate at the carne asada.

But as you do, take pause to celebrate the lives that were given so we could be here. Be happy, be alive, be both wise and foolish.

Be everything they never got to be. Hold that in your heart. Just for a moment.

live that life they gave.
