Lakelife Magazine

Lakelife Magazine Lakelife is published by Best Version Media based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Our marketing and advertising philosophy is penetrative-marketing.

A premier publication reaching the affluent residents of Lake Michigan’s lakefront from Beverly Shores to Miller Beach, as well as distinguished inland neighborhoods including Sand Creek, Coffee Creek, Marina Shores & The Village in Burns Harbor, & more. BVM is a specialized publishing company that partners with affluent neighborhoods throughout the U.S. We help local and regional businesses targe

t and pe*****te the most affluent buyers in the marketplace. We do this by partnering with residents and HOA's of upscale neighborhoods and provide them with their own exclusive, high-end monthly magazine. Market Pe*******on -
We choose neighborhoods based a matrix of demographic information, including number of households, family net worth, median home price, location, and appeal to potential advertisers. We have become the only print media source to radically change traditional target marketing to keep up with the times. Our newly developed approached is called micro-target-marketing, and we are the exclusive print media provider of this approach, which not only keeps up with the speed of new advertising media, but sets the pace. Because of the unique relationships and partnerships we have with the communities we serve, we don’t just “target” a certain area or demographic, we are invited in by the homeowners to pe*****te it. 🌊 Do You Receive Lakelife Magazine at Your Home? 🌊

We’re looking for local families to feature on the cover of upcoming issues of Lakelife Magazine!

One of our favorite things about Lakelife is sharing the stories of the people who make our communities such special places to live. We’re looking for families with great stories, interesting traditions, community connections, or simply a love for where they live.

Because our cover families are featured within the communities we serve, nominees must live in a neighborhood that currently receives Lakelife Magazine.

Know a family who would be perfect for a future cover—or want to nominate your own family?

Send us a private message with the family’s name and a little bit about them. And feel free to tag someone you’d love to see on the cover! ❤️ We can't wait to hear from you!

To our neighbors who are still without power after this week’s storms — our hearts are with you.

We want to pause and check in: How is your family doing? Is your street or home okay? If you've been without power, had storm damage, or could use a hand, please let us know in the comments — and if you know of local relief efforts, cleanup crews, or ways neighbors can help each other, drop those below too.

Please stay safe, avoid downed power lines, and check on those around you, especially elderly neighbors.

After yesterday’s devastating storms, and with cleanup and recovery still underway throughout our area, Coffee Creek Farmers Market is canceled today, August 12th.

More importantly, we sincerely hope that all of our customers, vendors, neighbors, and their families are safe as we know many throughout our community are dealing with downed trees, property damage, power outages, and the difficult work of cleaning up after the storm.

Many of our vendors have been effected as well. For some, the places they call home, the farms they work so hard to care for, and the businesses that support their families have suffered damage. While we won’t be able to gather together at the market today, there are still meaningful ways to support them. If you are able, please visit their pages, shop their websites, place an online order, or check where they may be set up next. Even sharing a kind word can mean a great deal right now.

‼️Attention‼️

🌊⚠️Safety first! Lake Michigan's waters pose serious dangers to visitors at Indiana Dunes National Park. Watch this video from Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant about what to know before heading to the beach. Visit https://youtu.be/8LY0WAC0dbM?si=hlmPWjzQUwVMfKx3

Never underestimate the power of Lake Michigan. Stay informed and protect yourself and your loved ones with these important reminders:

1️⃣ Know before you go. Is it safe to swim today? Check current weather and beach conditions.

2️⃣ Beware of rip currents. A rip current is a water current that can occur near beaches with breaking waves. This strong, localized, and narrow current of water moves away from the shore, cutting through the lines of breaking waves like a river running out to deeper waters. Caught in a rip current? Flip, Float, and Follow. Flip onto your back. Float and Follow along with the water (even if it takes you a bit further into the lake,) then swim to the side out of the rip current and back to the shore on waves coming back towards the beach.

3️⃣ Beware of other currents. Longshore currents can carry swimmers far down the beach. Structural currents near objects like piers or jetties create dangerous conditions known as the "washing machine effect," where chaotic currents make it difficult to remain above the water.

4️⃣ Be a water watcher - always watch your children when they are on the beach or in the water. Keep young children within arm's reach.

5️⃣ Swim with a life jacket.

Know before you go! Check current beach conditions here: https://www.nps.gov/indu/planyourvisit/beachconditions.htm

For more information on how to visit the beach safely this summer, visit our Beach Safety page: https://www.nps.gov/indu/planyourvisit/beach-safety.htm

Say hello to our June LakeLife cover family, the Sandrzyks! 🌊☀️🚲

Peggy, Dave, Lucy, and Jack traded the fast pace of suburban life for the beaches, trails, and sunsets of Beverly Shores—and they haven’t looked back. Whether they're sailing, paddleboarding, camping, biking the lakefront, or simply enjoying lazy Sunday afternoons together, this fun-loving family has discovered that the best adventures happen when you're surrounded by nature and the people you love most. 💙 We hope you enjoy their story and this issue of the magazine!
