When it comes to breeding foxhounds, the most common piece of advice from huntsmen is, “You have to breed a hound for your territory.” That may be true, but how do you breed a hound that you like, that has good conformation, and can hunt? When Juliana Duncan first started her mobile coffee business, La Selva Crepes & Coffee, she would take it to wineries, breweries, farmers markets, craft shows — “basically anywhere,” she says. But since September, customers have been able to find spiffy, retro-looking trailer at Mercer Tavern Antiques, where they can linger at picnic tables and enjoy their meal in Aldie’s historic setting. “I feel it’s definitely filling a void in the village,” Mercer owner Mary Ann Withers says. Learn more about the shop in the November issue, available on stands or online now through the link in our bio.

Read more about the cause in the November issue, available in print or online now through the link in our bio.
