As someone who has thoroughly enjoyed every single meal I've ever had here, and know many people that can say the EXACT same thing, this bothers me. A place I know very well that had been patroned by various members of the city and county governments. I hope that the city of Plymouth a city very dear to me, changes their minds and assists with helping arrange a lease for Mi Camino Real in one of the vacant commercial facilities. I'm not asking too much for a community that has been struggling to keep businesses and income coming into the community. How about one of the vacant spaces in front of Walmart in Plymouth. Or maybe a vacant store front in Pilgrim Place. Let's think outside of the box here. Yes privately owned locations, but what can the city and county do to assist?
1. Offer tax savings for a set time frame to Mi Camino and the property owners
2. Assist in preparations of the new location expenses as many communities do give funds to entice companies to come to their communities
3. Offer public landscape for free advertising of change of location for set time frame
Im sure we can think of other things to help assist this staple of the community. I personally will be getting a couple more meals out of my normal rotation with them. I hope other people of that community shares the same sentiment.
