Here is my take:

It is shameful and disgraceful how Christianity is sometimes used to deceive both oneself and those who follow. Kanvee Adams began her musical career as a gospel artist during a period of hardship and personal struggle. One of her early albums, “You Will Carry My Load,” reflected a time when she relied solely on God to bear her burdens and life’s challenges.

Over the years, however, her political ambitions appear to have led her away from the gospel arena into the political and secular space, where she has performed songs both for and against political parties. We have seen her on stage in Lofa singing her so-called “Lépé lépé we moveee” song—an unmistakable shift from the message she once proclaimed.

Scripture says it best: “A double-minded person is unstable in all their ways” (James 1:8). This is not only troubling—it is a shame and a disgrace.

Here is my take:

I once told a good friend of mine that Liberia’s problems lie within Liberia—and so do the solutions. What frustrates me most about this broken country called Liberia is seeing Liberians themselves—the suffering, the poor, the half-educated men and women with no clear sense of direction—celebrating criminals.

Scripture captures this reality perfectly: “I have seen slaves on horses, and princes walking on the ground like slaves” (Ecclesiastes 10:7).

Thomas Fallah—a low-class individual who once made a living selling planks, yet somehow became a representative and later a senator. After looting millions of taxpayer dollars under the George Weah administration and now the Joseph Boakai administration, he is treated like a master, while the very people he exploits—his victims—celebrate him daily.
