I am not a doctor, esthetician nor prescribe but I have been LOVING my guasha routine for over a year now.
I am 52, filler and filter free, plus a sun lover. At first I started this practice to reduce my fine lines, puffiness and wrinkes but had NO IDEA how relaxing it would be especially for neck and shoulder tension or how amazing it would feel around the eyes and forehead! It's addicting in a good way 😆 and an easy way to "self care" and nurture myself! 🥰
I'm currently getting over a sinus infection and REALLY felt great drainage relief when massaging around the nose, frenam, orbital bone and who knew there was SO MUCH tension around my inner eyes. I am fair skinned and there is some redness when guasha-ing but it goes away shortly after. I am careful to trace around the orbital bones near the eye and stay out of the actual eye sockets. At first it can be VERY tender in these areas, especially if your sinuses are clogged. I've gone thru menopause and my eyes are often dry and my vision is changing so I didn't realize how much more squinting I'm doing when reading, exacerbating my eye wrinkles. Plus I'm a contact lens wearer, always pulling on that delicate skin. The eyes and forehead feel SO GOOD! I want to age naturally but also want to look fabulous 😉😂 I LOVE how firm, toned and plumper my skin feels after guasha. If I wrinkle up my face, those lines may still be there, but they are now more trained to relax and look smoother when my face is at rest than if they were still in a tight contracted state that everyday life brings. Plus as a side and face sleeper 😱 which isn't ideal, this practice helps me undo some of that damage from nightly sleeping.
I guasha 3-4 X a week. Some busy weeks less, some weeks more.
It's important to open the lymph drainage pathways I start with first for best results.
Step 1 Clean Skin. I like to use Bloom's Raspberry Scrub | Bloomstore https://share.google/F6b1w6oWXek4uLEae and Moist Morning Touch Foam Cleanser | Bloomstore https://share.google/OZ7HHYOrFm9v016J7
Step 2 I like to neti (nasal irrigation) so I can cleanse then fully drain sinuses with the massage. You can order your neti Pot and incredible
