During this past Saturday night's Family Prayer Circle segment, CT Radio Fellowship President Drew Crandall shared a devotional titled "When Leadership Falls." He shared an abbreviated version of this message during Friday's Pastor Brunch, which was well received.
This is a very relevant, timely message given recent news concerning Dr. Tony Evans and Rev. Robert Morris. Please click here to listen:
When Leadership Fails
We had a very blessed quarterly Pastor Brunch in Southington last Friday morning. Here are some images! WIHS is at Rise Up New England tonight!
We need your help! Please make a summer donation now. Last year, quarterly donations represented 17%, 21%, 19% and 43% of our annual budget. However, our quarterly cash flow needs are closer to 25%, 25%, 25% and 25%.
As of June 21, listener donations and commitments represent 31% of our 2024 annual budget of $785,000. Can you help to fill the gap? Please partner with us today by clicking the link below.
Please partner with us! For 55 years, WIHS has been faith-based, listener-supported and debt-free. We don’t sell airtime, we don’t charge programmers for airtime, and we aren’t supported by government or corporate grants. In order to stay on-track financially, we periodically let our listeners...
Attention Listeners: Tomorrow (Saturday, June 22) we have a normal, periodic transmitter tower inspection scheduled. Due to the heat wave and possible thunderstorms, the inspection may have to be postponed, but we wanted to give you the heads-up that YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO LISTEN TO WIHS ON THE AIR FOR SEVERAL HOURS, especially between 8 am and 12 noon. We must turn off the transmitter during the inspection.
However, this will not interfere with our online LIVE STREAM, which should be fully operational while the transmitter is off. To live stream, click the button on the top right of our homepage www.WIHSradio.org.

Due to Dr. Tony Evans' announcement last week that he is stepping away from his senior pastoral duties at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, this week, WIHS has replaced "The Urban Alternative" on weekdays at 9:30 am with Dr. David Jeremiah's "Turning Point" broadcast. We have also replaced "The Urban Alternative Weekend" on Sundays at 2:30 pm with "Turning Point Weekend."
Our conversion to the new live stream source was nice and smooth, with no interruptions in signal. You can live stream anytime, anywhere! Just click the "Listen Live On Air" icon on the top right of our website homepage at www.WIHSradio.org.
We had an excellent CT Radio Fellowship Board meeting this morning! Thank you for your prayers!
This coming Saturday morning, June 8, will mark Connecticut Radio Fellowship Board President Drew Crandall's 39th "spiritual birthday." His faith in Christ came alive on June 8, 1985 at about 11 am during a Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship breakfast at the Ramada Inn off I-91 in East Windsor, Connecticut.
"I learned about this breakfast through a brief calendar listing in the Hartford Courant, and was curious if it was really possible to be a Christian AND a businessperson. I thought it was either/or. I also love breakfast, so I was looking forward to the meal, too!"
During the meeting, a Christian business owner from Long Island, New York (where Drew had spent several years of his childhood, and which had been part of his sales territory earlier in his career) shared his testimony of how he came to Christ. "This man's testimony resonated with me," says Drew; "I could relate to him in SO many ways, it was uncanny. At the end of his talk, the simple gospel was shared and an invitation was given for me to trust Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. I've never been the same since! That was the starting point for decades of volunteer ministry work that continues today. That's my story," Drew says, "and I'm sticking to it!" 🙂
We are in the process of migrating our Live Stream service to a new source. Please be patient, there may be a gap in service during the transition today!
WIHS is a promotional partner with Rise Up New England at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, MA on Saturday, June 22 at 6 pm. The organizers just emailed us this new graphic. They are organizing a regional choir as part of the evening's program!
Arrangements are being made for shuttle bus service from/to Wintonbury Church in Bloomfield. If you need transportation assistance, please call the Rise Up New England office at 413.333.2903.
The Gospel will be shared, so bring family, friends, neighbors and co-workers who do not yet know the Lord personally!
Once again, WIHS will be part of the next AfterHours Comedy House this Saturday, June 8 at the Apostle Gift Store in Southington, CT. The show will be emceed by "Dr. B," TC Brantley from Waterbury, who is a long-time Bread of Life pastor and who served as our keynote speaker for last fall's Celebrate Jesus Gala & Expo (WIHS' annual banquet).
Connecticut Radio Fellowship Board President Drew Crandall will present "The Gospel According to Smiley." Last month, when Drew shared this message, at least two souls made first-time confessions of faith in Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior! Please pray for souls to be saved this Saturday!
Clean comedy such as this is rarely performed in Connecticut and elsewhere. Last month, the two main professional comedians both told the audience this was the first time they had performed clean comedy (nothing rude and crude) and they were astounded by how engaged the audience was throughout the evening. Please scan the QR codes on the posted graphic for details and tickets.
Did you know that WIHS is one of the largest evangelical Christian organizations in Connecticut? We have a terrific staff of over 20 full- and part-time people, all of whom live in Connecticut. Our 2024 budget is $785,000.
If you were to "look under the hood," operating a live and local, 24/7 Christian radio station is quite complicated and a lot of work. This Saturday morning, June 8, the Connecticut Radio Fellowship (the non-profit that operates WIHS) will be conducting its quarterly Board of Directors meeting.
Please pray for Al, Bill, Chris, Diane, Drew, Kevin and Matt as they conduct their 360-degree review of the station and make decisions about future operations. Much wisdom and discernment are needed. It is a great privilege and also a great responsibility. To whom much is given, much is expected.
THANK YOU for your prayers, volunteering, financial support and listenership! To learn more about the station, and tap into its many resources, please visit www.WIHSradio.org today.
We just heard, the live stream switchover won't happen until Tuesday, probably late morning. So, God willing, you can live stream all weekend wih no possible interruptions!

(2) Our source for live streaming the WIHS broadcast was recently sold. We are migrating to a new live stream source TODAY. If you try to live stream and cannot, please be patient. We're seeking to make the process as smooth and seamless as possible, but we may hit some technical glitches.

Listen to this audio clip that has been running on WIHS! Walter will be there two of the three nights. On Saturday night 8/5, WIHS will have a display and Connecticut Radio Fellowship president Drew Crandall will share a gospel message and invitation. Since Thomaston has a famous legacy in clockmaking, Drew's message will be "The Clock is Ticking: Living Life to its Fullest" based on James 4:14. We need to give the venue our meal head count soon, so please order your tickets online today at https://www.wihsradio.org/index.php/activities/celebrate-jesus/ . You'll love the venue, the fellowship, the food, and the fun (Walter Santos' Gospel Doo-Wop music is really fun) as we gather to Celebrate Jesus and share our enthusiasm for what he's doing through various ministries across the State and through the unique media ministry of Connecticut Radio Fellowship.
