Printed in October 1988. Still making magic in 2025.

This recipe card? Dot-matrix printed 37 years ago on a typewriter-style printer. It was a gift from my sister—and has been part of our family holidays, brunches, and late-night snack runs ever since.

When my husband asked me to make it again recently, I pulled it out and realized…

The ink is barely hanging on.
The cheese, however? Still iconic.

So I gave it a digital makeover—because paper may fade, but flavor doesn’t. And cooking? It’s just crafting you get to eat.

Well, this week took an unexpected turn…

I was all set to upload my latest video when my air conditioning died. Like, completely gave up on life.

Naturally, I assumed it was something minor. But no.

A field mouse chewed straight through the capacitor wire outside my house.
(Are we sure I’m not living in Back to the Future?)

So while the HVAC tech handled the sabotage, I regrouped, re-filmed, and made this masterpiece of rodent-related chaos. Because obviously.

The A/C is fixed. The mouse is hopefully moving on to acorns.
And yes—the video did eventually get uploaded.

Plot twist: Our AC quietly quit on us today… and I didn’t even notice. Why? Because for once, I wasn’t freezing.

Apparently, being comfortable in my own home is now a warning sign.

While the emergency tech takes over my studio (a.k.a. the only cool room left), tonight’s video is getting a slight delay.
