*SURAH ASH-SHARH (94:5-6)* 🤲

"For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease." (Surah Ash-Sharh, 94:5-6)

Life in this world is fleeting. Every trial, no matter how severe it seems, is temporary. Just as seasons change and the night is followed by the day, so too will our hardships be followed by ease.

In Surah As Sajdah, Allah promises that "No soul will know what is kept hidden for them of joy as a reward for what they used to do." This joy will overshadow everything that was endured in this world, providing relief to the hearts of the believers.

Example:

Imagine you are a traveler on a long journey. You pass through harsh, dry deserts with storms, extreme heat, and no comfort, but you endure because you know that your destination holds beauty, peace, and joy. The discomfort of the journey is temporary, and you know that once you reach your destination, you will find rest and comfort. Similarly, the challenges we face in this world are like a temporary, difficult journey, but the destination — Paradise — holds eternal peace, joy, and ease.

It began as the Friday Report, a hybrid, four-page, copy-paper, newsletter-magazine. It evolved into a globally distributed, four-color print, recycled-paper magazine, from 64 to 96 pages.

In Rabî’a Al-Awwal 1436 / December-January 2014-15, AlJumuah has gone online to reach a global audience matched only by the breadth and audience of Islam, the universal religion of God.
