🚨New Jersey has the highest corporate business tax in the entire country.

At 11.5%, New Jersey is the only state in the nation with a double digit Corporate Business Tax. While other states compete for jobs and investment, New Jersey continues to drive businesses out.

Companies are leaving our state, including major employers like ExxonMobil after more than 150 years in New Jersey. That means fewer jobs, less opportunity, and more families leaving for states with lower costs and a better business climate.

Gerry Scharfenberger and Vicky Flynn sponsor A860, legislation that would temporarily lower the Corporate Business Tax for five years and repeal the corporation business surtax to help move New Jersey in the right direction.

🚨New Jersey’s new ABC rule could impact millions of independent contractors across our state.

Uber drivers. Freelance journalists. Financial advisors. Personal trainers. Hair stylists. Small business owners. The list goes on.

This rule threatens the flexibility so many workers and families rely on, especially women balancing careers, childcare, and family responsibilities. In fact, 42% of independent contractors in New Jersey are women.

During the public comment period, nearly 10,000 comments were submitted and 99% opposed the rule, yet it was still adopted.

California tried this and it became a disaster for independent workers and businesses. New Jersey should be making it easier to live, work, and grow a business here, not harder.

Assemblyman Paul Kanitra said it best. New Jersey's affordability crisis is becoming an existential threat to our state.

The reality is setting in across our communities. Residents are leaving because they cannot afford to stay, and the next generation is being priced out before they can even get started.

44% of adults ages 18 to 34 in New Jersey are still living at home, the highest rate in the country. That should concern everyone.

The American Dream in New Jersey is slipping away, and families are being forced to look elsewhere for opportunity.
