Sad trend. We miss the annual Midland Park vs. Waldwick football game! 😢🏈

It used to be that so many traditional rivals would play their high school football games on Thanksgiving Day. 🏈 Like a lot of traditions we grew up with, this one is fading away, too.

Clayton and Pitman will play their 100th Thanksgiving Day game later today, and it may be their last. Roselle and Roselle Park are shelving their long Thanksgiving Day tradition after today's game.

“Thanksgiving games, we’ve been watching them since we were kids," Clayton coach John Chamberlin said. "You think of Thanksgiving you think of football, you think of high school football. There’s nothing better than seeing kids come back home on college break or people traveling into town. I don’t really know where it stands."
