Did the Church Build a Man-Made Religion? (Hebrews 4:2 Explained)

We cannot stand by as truth is corrupted. For centuries, self-appointed authorities have altered divine laws and seasons to construct a man-made religion, discarding the original foundation. The Scriptures demonstrate that the very same Gospel proclaimed throughout the New Testament was preached at Mount Sinai—yet the early listeners failed to benefit because it was not mixed with faith. The apostolic epistles were originally written as letters of correction to address these deviations, rather than to serve as a separate, replacement gospel.

Leaping into the Arms of the Savior: What Does Your Faith Do?

True faith is non-passive; it is defined by total surrender and decisive physical action. When you stand at the edge with the threat closing in, what does your faith drive you to do? Do you turn around to face the enemy in your own fragile strength, putting your back to the Lord—or do you turn, leap, and fall completely into the open arms of your Savior?

Faith is not an abstract concept; it is the concrete act of letting go. It is abandoning self-reliance, turning your focus away from the adversary, and trusting that the everlasting arms beneath you are strong enough to catch you. When trials push you to the brink, real faith does not fixate on the danger—it leaps into the presence and security of God.

“The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, and will say, ‘Destroy!’” — Deuteronomy 33:27

Additional Scripture Addendums:
Isaiah 40:11 — “He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and gently lead those who are with young.”

Mark 10:16 — “And He took them up in His arms, laid His hands upon them, and blessed them.”

Matthew 14:30–31 — “But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, ‘Lord, save me!’ And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him…”

James 2:17 — “Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”

Moses Reveals: Sinai Was Not the Beginning of the Law (Genesis 26:5)

Many believe God's Law was created for the first time at Mount Sinai, but Scripture shows Sinai was a written codification and restoration of the eternal standard God's people had forgotten during four centuries of slavery. Long before Mount Sinai, Abel offered sacrifices of the firstlings and fat according to the exact standards later recorded in Levitical law, Cain was judged for murder in violation of the moral law later codified in the Ten Commandments, and Abraham kept God's commandments, statutes, and laws. Sinai restored what was lost, giving Israel the written instructions to walk in righteousness.

Other Scriptures Used:

Genesis 26:5 – Explicitly states that Abraham kept God's commandments, statutes, and laws long before Mount Sinai was ever named.

Genesis 2:2–3 – Establishes the sanctification and setting apart of the Seventh-Day Sabbath at Creation.

Genesis 4:3–5 – Records Abel offering the firstlings of his flock and the fat thereof according to divine sacrificial standards.

Genesis 7:2 – Demonstrates that Noah knew the distinction between clean and unclean animals prior to the Flood.

Genesis 14:20 – Records Abraham paying tithes of everything to Melchizedek.

Exodus 16:23–28 – Shows Israel keeping the Sabbath and God rebuking them for breaking His laws before reaching Mount Sinai.

Exodus 20:8–11 – Codifies the Fourth Commandment at Sinai, referencing Creation as the origin of the Sabbath.

Leviticus 3:16 – Codifies the Levitical sacrificial requirement that all the fat belongs to the LORD.

Leviticus 11:1–47 – Defines and formalizes the exact distinctions regarding clean and unclean animals.

Practical Application Torah: Episode 3 — Exodus 20:2-3

In this third episode of the Practical Application Torah series, we examine Exodus 20:2-3: "I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bo***ge. Thou shalt have no other gods before me." Putting another god before Yahweh means fearing, obeying, or listening to any authority above His written word. When career, financial security, status, or lifestyle take precedence over His word, those things become modern idols.

Rebirth Is a Change of Life, Not Just Vocabulary | 2 Corinthians 5:17

True biblical rebirth isn't just adopting new words, quitting a single bad habit, or calling yourself "born again"—it requires a complete transformation of how you live. As 2 Corinthians 5:17 states, when someone is in Christ, they become a brand-new creation; the old ways of living pass away, and a new life begins.

If your daily walk, desires, and pursuit of the world remain completely unchanged, confession alone does not equal salvation. Rebirth is a total realignment of the heart and mind toward God's righteousness, not a subtle shift in vocabulary while still living in sin.

Scripture Addendum:

2 Corinthians 5:17 – "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."

1 John 3:9 – "Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God."

Ezekiel 36:26 – "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh."

James 1:22 – "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves."

Matthew 7:21 – "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven."

Standing for Integrity in Business | Proverbs 3:5

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding." — Proverbs 3:5

When faced with pressure to compromise your values for success, remember that your integrity and faith are not for sale. True strength comes from trusting God’s ways over worldly shortcuts. Stand firm in complete honesty, knowing that honoring Him is worth far more than any contract or temporary win.

Scripture References:
• Proverbs 3:5 — Trust in the Lord with all your heart...
• Isaiah 55:8–9 — For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways...

Are We Living the Truth We Claim? | Titus 1:16 & Matthew 15:8

With their mouth they profess me, but with their works they deny me.

It’s easy to say the right words, but what evidence does our daily life actually show? True faith isn't just about what we claim in public—it’s demonstrated in how we act, love, and treat others when nobody is watching. Let’s make sure our actions align with our confession so that our lives point directly to Christ.

What Was ACTUALLY Nailed to the Cross? (Colossians 2:14)

What was really nailed to the cross in Colossians 2:14?

Many people confuse the Greek term cheirographon (kye-ROH-grah-fon—our handwritten record of debt) with the Ten Commandments. But changing the cheirographon to the Ten Commandments fundamentally alters the theology of scripture—just like swapping watermelon for roast beef!

The titulus (TEE-tuh-lus) was the legal charge posted above Christ's head on the cross. Through His sacrifice, it was our personal record of debt—our indictment and transgressions—that was canceled and nailed to the cross, not God's holy law.

Colossians 2:13–14 (ESV)
"And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross."

Colossians 2:14 | Did Paul Say God’s Law Was Nailed to the Cross?

The church often teaches that Colossians 2:14 proves God's eternal Law was abolished and nailed to the cross. But is that what Paul actually wrote? In this video, we examine the raw Greek text to uncover what was truly nailed to the cross—the cheirographon, the handwritten certificate of debt and criminal record of our sins, not the unchangeable Law of Yahweh.

The Filthy Rags of Lawlessness: Why Outward Good Deeds Cannot Replace ObedienceDescription

A moment of compassion on a cold street corner—giving a coat to someone in need—is a good deed. But Scripture exposes a hard truth: outward acts of love and charity mean nothing if you actively disregard and disobey the Father’s Law.

"We are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags..." — Isaiah 64:6

You cannot buy righteousness with good deeds while living in lawlessness. God does not measure holiness by human sentiment; He measures it by obedience to His covenant.

"Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice." — 1 Samuel 15:22

On the Day of Judgment, many will boast of their works, miracles, and acts of charity. Yet the response will remain: "Depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness" (Matthew 7:23).

True compassion originates in complete submission to the Father's commandments—not in self-directed righteousness.
