​The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has some upcoming road work scheduled for U.S. 10 that might impact your summer commute. Check out the details below so you can plan your routes ahead of time!

​MDOT will be paving a portion of eastbound U.S. 10 near the intersection with U.S. 10BR.

​⚠️ Detour Info:
Eastbound U.S. 10BR will be closed and detoured during this time. You'll need to follow the detour route via:
​James Savage Drive 🛣️
​Rockwell Drive ↩️
​Bay City Road 🚗

​🌧️ Weather Backup: In case Mother Nature brings rain, the backup dates for this paving operation are set for July 25–26.

Officer in Fla. stops woman missing right hand then accuses her off holding her cell phone in right hand!

LAKE WORTH BEACH, Fla. — Newly released law enforcement body camera footage has sparked widespread discussion after showing a Florida deputy issuing a traffic citation to a one-handed woman for allegedly holding a mobile phone while driving.

​The traffic stop took place in February along North Dixie Highway and Lake Worth Drive in Lake Worth Beach. In the footage, the driver, identified as Katie, can be heard explaining her physical inability to hold the phone in the manner described by the officer.

​According to court records, the deputy ultimately issued Katie a $116 citation for the violation. However, following a review of the incident, the ticket was later dismissed at the explicit request of the involved deputy.

911 Call on 05/26/2026 12:51 PM =Well-Being-Check= Ingersoll Township - A Deputy was dispatched to an Ingersoll Township residence reference a well-being-check for a 78-year-old male. The caller wanted the male checked on due to not having contact with him for a week. The Deputy made contact with the male at his residence, and he advised he was fine.

911 Call on 05/26/2026 11:46 AM =B/E= Larkin Twp. - A deputy was dispatched to a Larkin Twp. storage facility reference a breaking and entering complaint. A 65 year old male advised that someone had broken into his storage unit and stole approximately $2,800 in music equipment. The complaint is currently under investigation.

911 Call on 05/26/2026 11:40 AM =Lost Property= Homer Township - A deputy spoke with a 71 year old Homer Township woman who reported her late husband's firearm had been lost as she was going through his property. The firearm was entered into the database as lost pending further information.
