For the 24th year in a row, The Milan Firefighters Foundation hosted their Toy Drive. This year they were able to provide toys for 20 different families. This totaled to 40 children that benefitted from the drive. This event was made possible by toy donations from the community and one specific donor who gave hundreds of dollars towards the event. This individual asked not to be named publicly, but their contribution did not go unnoticed and we know many children in the community are thankful for this individual's generosity. The Milan Firefighters Foundation accepts toy donations all year long, so if you are interested in participating next year, you can get an early start. They do only accept new toys, not used. The more people who donate toys, the more families they can serve. Chief Lock hopes to grow this event by saying, "Next year we plan to do a 5k and possibly pictures with Santa to raise more funds". Firefighter, Tim Nestor is pictured below showing off some of the toys from this year's drive.
