Ghouls and goblins can find all types of tricks and treats at a variety of locations for Halloween fun.
Starting on Thursday, October 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. festivities including the trick or treat trail, costume contest, dance, and more at Big Stone Commons in the former Big Stone City school building. Reservations for an escape room can be made until Sunday, November 2.
Halloween on Friday, October 31, is to be filled with frights and fun. A nightmare on Second Street can be found for trick or treaters from 3 to 4 p.m. at Avantara Milbank. Trick or treaters can stop at St. William’s Care Center from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and Wellshire Park Place from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Trick or treating and photo opportunities will be available from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Avera Milbank.
Milbank’s annual treat street on Main Street will feature numerous businesses handing out candy and other treats from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The 31st annual Halloween Safety Stop will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Milbank Fire Hall. There will be a costume contest at 7 p.m. with awards for cutest, scariest, and most original costume. Youth can register for prizes in different age categories.
Spirits continue to roam with a Halloween pumpkin ride on Saturday, November 1, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Buggy Museum in Stockholm.
Adults can enjoy a Halloween party on Saturday, November 1, at The Pump 2.0 in Milbank. Drink specials will start at 6 p.m. with Stony Point Sound Karaoke to begin at 8 p.m. and a costume contest at 11 p.m. Prizes for the costume contest include $300 for first place, $200 for second place, and $100 for third place.
