OSM Post-
From WWolcott Police Department10/30/2025-
On Tuesday, September 30th, the Wolcott Police Department responded to Hitchcock Pizza, on Meriden Road, for a report of a burglary. Upon arrival, officers and detectives began an investigation.
While still on scene, police received a second report of a burglary at Vito’s Pizza, also located on Meriden Road, that had occurred overnight.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to identify a strong suspect.
On October 1st, at approximately 4:15 A.M., officers responded to two additional burglaries on Meriden Road. Suspect(s) had gained entry into Hertz Rental Car, broke into a safe, and stole numerous rental car keys before stealing two vehicles from the lot. The suspects then drove one of the stolen vehicles into the front doors of the adjacent Quick Mart convenience store.
Although very little cash was taken from any of the burglaries, the suspects caused extensive property damage to all businesses involved.
On October 2nd at approximately 1:00 A.M., Wolcott detectives conducted surveillance on the suspect believed to be involved in these burglaries, who was identified as Michael Bachand (DOB 12/17/1973) of 17 Dale Avenue, Wolcott. Bachand has an extensive criminal history involving larcenies and burglaries, as well as three active arrest warrants from Danbury, New Milford, and Meriden.
During surveillance, detectives observed Bachand operating a vehicle similar to one captured on surveillance footage during the Hitchcock Pizza burglary.
A motor vehicle stop was conducted, and Bachand was detained and placed under arrest for the outstanding warrants. He was transported to the Wolcott Police Department and held on bond pending arraignment. During questioning, Bachand confessed to these burglaries. However, the investigation did not end there. During questioning, we learned there were two more suspects involved, who assisted or directly participated in the crimes committed over the two-day period. They were identified as Jessy Capocci (DOB 12/27/1985) of 189 Marrow St. Oakville, and Roberto Rivera (DOB 01/04/1989), 5 Park St. Waterbury. Arrest warrants were sought and signed for all three parties involved. On Oct. 28th, Wolcott Detectives conducted surveillance in the Waterville section of Waterbury where Capocci and Rivera were known to frequent. Detectives spotted Rivera and Capocci in a vehicle on Chase ave. and took them into custody without incident.
Jessy Capocci was charged with:
