I’m looking for CT locals to join Team United / Team Indybox.
United Comics has had slow but steady growth over the last few years. we have many more comic book projects in the pipeline for release next year, including two trade paperbacks and our first hardcover project. We are planning on trying to make 2026 our biggest year yet. In order to do that, we need personnel to assist with transportation, loading and unloading, set up and breakdown of our tables and booths at upcoming shows. The goal is to expand to shows in neighboring states, some of the mid range and larger shows. I’d also like to do more in-store comic shop appearances wherever possible. Because of my medical issues I can only do one day shows at present. Most events are on Saturdays and/or Sundays.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR -
A RELIABLE individual (or individuals) with a car, van or truck (or the ability to rent one, we would reimburse) and a valid drivers license, since I am physically handicapped and cannot drive at present.
The set up is pretty easy, just a few bins and banners. In addition, vehicle has to be able to accommodate a folding wheelchair and hand cart.
WE WILL PROVIDE - gas, tolls and lunch. Entry is provided by venue for our team as part of the table/booth space. Once the table/booth is set up, you are not required to man the booth continuously, as I will generally not leave the booth area. This means you can feel free to check out the rest of the show for the most part. There will be other perks as well.
