The riverfront in Wetumpka came alive with music Saturday night ๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽธ

Coolers were packed, lawn chairs were unfolded, and dancing shoes hit the grass as the River & Blues Festival returned for an evening filled with live music, local vendors, and community spirit.

Crowds gathered at Gold Star Park throughout the night, enjoying performances from a lineup of
talented artists while taking in the scenic riverfront atmosphere. Families explored vendor booths
while children played along the park grounds, and music echoed across the water.

One of Wetumpkaโ€™s favorite annual traditions, the festival once again brought together residents
and visitors of all ages for a laid-back summer evening celebrating great music and local entertainment.

Hundreds of reptiles, amphibians, exotic animals, and reptile enthusiasts filled 17 Springs on Saturday as the Show Me Reptile Show made its Millbrook debut. ๐ŸฆŽ๐ŸฆŽ

Families spent the day exploring exhibits, meeting breeders from across the region, learning about a variety of species, and getting an up-close look at everything from snakes and lizards to amphibians and other exotic creatures.

The event transformed 17 Springs into a destination for animal lovers of all ages, bringing together experienced reptile keepers, curious newcomers, and families looking for a unique weekend adventure.

The community gathered in Wetumpka this morning to honor the life and legacy of Deputy James โ€œBartโ€ Hart at the 6th Annual Rotarian Memorial Scholarship Pancake Breakfast.โค๏ธ

Hosted at Must Stop Cafรฉ, the event welcomed family, friends, first responders, and community members to remember Deputy Hart, who was killed in the line of duty in 2014 while serving with the Elmore County Sheriffโ€™s Office.

Guests shared pancakes and coffee while supporting the Deputy James Bart Hart Rotarian Memorial Scholarship, a program dedicated to helping local students pursue their educational goals.

The annual event continues to serve as both a tribute to Deputy Hartโ€™s service and a reminder of the lasting impact he made on the community he faithfully served.

"People have made it clear they are concerned about the future of the Marbury Water System," Bigley said. "I think the recent water conservation notice and the lack of clear answers at the public meeting may have left some people with more questions than answers. I believe simply that people want their voices to be heard and want a clear plan for the future."
