Be prepared for the possibility of heavy rain and flash flooding in low lying areas.

In addition to our risk of strong to severe storms, there is also an Slight Risk (level 2 of 4) of Excessive Rainfall this afternoon and evening. High rainfall rates will help drive an increasing flash flood risk, especially for those that saw ample rainfall yesterday.

From the Prattville Fire Department

Just before 4 PM today, PFD responded to Buffalo Wild Wings for a reported structure fire on the patio. Units arrived to find a light smoke in the patio area with fire sprinkler activation. The staff at BWW did an amazing job of activating a pull station, evacuating, and making sure everyone was safe. Their staff used a fire extinguisher as well! 🙌🧯There is minimal damage to the business and our units should clear the area soon. There are no injuries reported.

Uncle Bobs sauces and rubs is hosting a hot dog eating contest at 17 Springs Sept. 1. Last day to enter is Aug. 20. Does anyone remember the old Uncle Bob's Dog House in Millbrook and this annual event? It is coming back.
