The video, titled Letters to Local Heroes, showcases elementary students sharing personal messages of appreciation, reflecting on the sacrifices of veterans, and expressing what service means to them — some of which are military-connected families themselves. The project not only commemorates Veterans Day but also serves as an educational experience, teaching students the importance of civic responsibility and honoring those who protect our freedoms.

The 10th annual event was held Nov. 7 at Selwood Farms in Alpine and raised money for scholarships, Ag in the Classroom, and other programs supporting agricultural education and youth development. Since its inception, the S***t Shoot has raised over $500,000.

🇺🇸 A Morning to Honor Our Heroes 🇺🇸

Before the sun was up, at 6:45 AM, SEHS and Millbrook Middle families gathered together to honor and remember our veterans — the men and women whose courage and sacrifice protect the freedoms we enjoy every day. 💙❤️

The morning was filled with gratitude, reflection, and community spirit. Thanks to Village Church and Robinson Springs Church for sharing an uplifting message and for providing breakfast for everyone in attendance.

The event was hosted by the SEHS Student Government Association and First Priority, who created a meaningful way to celebrate those who have served.

Violet is a 1.5-year-old female Chihuahua who must be spayed before adoption. She is an owner turn in because she was not good with the small children in the family. Violet is a beautiful little black and tan girl who only weighs 7 pounds.

BB is a 5 1/2-year-old female lab, about 60 lbs. She was very loved by her former owner and even had a FHO (Femoral Head Ostectomy) for her hip dysplasia and is doing great physically. BB is an awesome dog but will need to be the only pet in an adult only home.
