This morning, it was my distinct privilege to recognize several outstanding members of our department with awards at our annual Police Department Christmas breakfast. Your unwavering commitment and dedication are deeply valued. I extend my sincere appreciation to each of you for your service.

From the Childre Family

It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the passing of Mr. Jimmy Childre, founder of Childre Nissan, who passed away on December 11, 2025, at the age of 94.

For 73 years, Jimmy dedicated his life to the automotive industry, building Childre Nissan as a place rooted in integrity, hard work, and genuine relationships. As a family-owned and operated dealership, his values continue to guide everything we do.
Jimmy loved his family and friends deeply and was devoted to his work. He was a friend to all who walked through the doors of the dealership, always believing in treating people with respect and kindness.

We are incredibly grateful for the community that supported him and our family over the years. While we mourn his loss, we also celebrate a life well lived and a legacy that will continue through the generations of our family and the customers we proudly serve.

Thank you for keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers during this time.

His legacy will always be a part of Childre Nissan and our community.
