* Until 700 PM CDT.

* At 625 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 5 miles east of
Onida, moving northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

Thunderstorms should develop in central SD late this afternoon and move east through the evening and overnight hours. The main threats will be hail to the size of golf balls and wind gusts to 70 mph. A very isolated tornado will also be possible during the evening.

A line of severe storms are starting to move east into north central SD from western SD this evening. These storms have a history of producing 60 to 80 mph wind gusts and could continue producing these winds as they move through the area. To the south, there are some more storms that could move in a bit later, with slightly weaker winds up around 50 mph possible.
