Copper Theft: Tombigbee Cooperative has discovered several miles of copper stolen on our electric system mostly in the Lamar County area with a smaller instance happening in Marion County. This is a MASSIVE concern for multiple reasons including the reliability of the service in the area. In addition, this leads to costs for our electric membership and can be a huge safety risk for the individual. We have contacted local law enforcement, and they are investigating the theft.
