Warm, sunny miles to start the week ☀️

I keep thinking it’s fall but someone reminded me that it’s actually still summer.

Technically summer but I’m planning my days like fall is already here. Watching the leaves turn, dressing in my favorite sweaters and flannels, apple picking, pumpkin everything and cozying up with warm blankets and good books.

It’s fall y’all 🍂🍁

This run was just okay. The weather was great but my legs didn’t want to cooperate. I’ll blame the extra serving of Chex Mix that I gobbled up while watching last night’s ANW final 😂

Not every run is a winner but they are all a step in the right direction. Just keep moving forward 🙌🏻

Rolled my ankle mid last week so took a few days off to heal up. So this is my first time out in a few days! Happy to say my ankle feels pretty good so I think I made the right choice.

Fall is apparently here early in Wisco and I’m not complaining one bit - felt great to get out in the middle of the day and run in temps in the mid 60s ☀️

I really dragged my feet getting out the door today. You know how it goes where sometimes you’re in the middle of something and you just want to keep going without a break.

But I made myself stop and told myself the work would still be here when I got back.

I clearly needed the break as these miles felt so good. I loved feeling the sunshine on my face and hearing the birds singing. I wasn’t even too bothered by the horseflies 😂 Best part was running into a Mama deer with her two babies. I think they were also out for a lunch hour run!

So it turns out it’s true: you’ll never regret making time for a run! 🏃🏻‍♀️

First miles after the terrible flooding that hit Milwaukee over the weekend. I was very fortunate and was mostly unaffected. That good fortune continued today - while running through the park, I came upon a large area of road that had just sunk in leaving what looked like about a 6ft deep hole. Grateful I wasn’t running over that area when it sunk.

Hoping all my other Milwaukee-area friends are staying safe! ❤️
