No problem!

Would I have liked more time to get in a few extra miles? Of course! But sometimes we all have to make do with the time we have.

My mindset: 30 minutes to run is better than 0 minutes to run!

I’m reading Rebecca Serle’s book, Once And Again, and it has me thinking about second chances - getting a redo if something doesn’t go as planned.

I spent my miles thinking about if I could get a redo, would I take it? Ultimately, I decided no. Maybe for something small like leaving 10 minutes earlier to avoid traffic and being late for dinner or a movie. But not for larger aspects of life. Part of life is making mistakes and learning from them. And even when there are hard times, it’s the struggle and getting through them that make the good times even sweeter.

What do you think?

I can’t wait to see how the book ends!

Mid-run, I witnessed a cautionary tale: do not get too close to the wild turkeys! I saw a man chase three large turkeys trying to get a pic with his phone. Those turkeys whipped around, fanned their feathers and started coming for him while yelling. Yikes!

Always give wildlife plenty of space and watch for cues. If they seem at all uncomfortable, back away. And never chase for a pic!
