With a 20+ year history of songwriting and live performance, American Irish folk rock group Reilly are preparing for their 2026 album release—Milwonky. The effort, their sixth, will include cleverly crafted originals and traditional music with a twist. Reilly are veterans of the Midwestern scene, two-time Celtic Band of the Year award winners from Wisconsin Area Music Industry, and hail from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA.

Their latest single, Rise Up, is a cross-cultural musical effort that incorporates influences from Irish traditional music, folk, and rock strains. Past releases have been featured on Good Morning Ireland, Daybreak Entertainment, Fine Gold Music, Paddy Rock Radio, Blarney on the Air, and Irish and Celtic Music Podcast. They have garnered “5 (out of 5) stars from Celtic Radio” – Paul MacArthur, Celtic Radio Music Network.

Reilly’s songwriting style incorporates vibrant tongue-in-cheek humour along with musical chops and four-part vocal harmonies. Original tunes may serve as wistful anecdotes, confessionals at times. Their search for something more, the less predictable, is what separates Reilly from the watered-down, punkified pub song, routine. They celebrate Irish and Celtic heritage and their own local upbringings in both the live setting and on record. The group looks forward to providing a lively musical feast with the release of Milwonky in 2026.

Exciting news! I'll be performing 3 private solo showcases at the Folk Alliance Region Midwest (FARM) Conference in Chicago later this month. I'll be joined by the lovely and talented Alex Stewart on pipes, flutes, and whistles. And I'll also be sitting in on percussion with my friends Mac and Cheese Band and The Hounds of Finn.

I'm looking forward to lots of great live music, making new friends, and learning a lot about the folk music biz. Big thanks to Celtic Junction Arts Center, Astor Street Agency, Pete McCauley, and Leslie Rich for making this all possible.

Blackwillow Starling are happy to announce that we will be making multiple appearances at the Folk Alliance Gathering and Presenter Summit (FARM) this October 23rd - 26th, in Lisle, IL.

After last year, when Nicole’s rosin literally melted outside, we’re looking forward to sunny skies, highs in the mid 70s, and yours truly rocking the LSB stage on Saturday and trad stage on Sunday!
